To me the golden era of cd playing is early 90s, peaking at 1541 and pcm63. 1541 excels in timber reproduction but limiting to chamber music. 63 is more lively and can handle complications but timber is not as convincing. 20400a is border line engaging but since then newer chips have become more and more high res but lack of dynamics to sound lively or timber awkward. 最後修改時間: 2022-05-01 10:48:49 |

| [#843] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 Ben兄小弟也有同感。 90s製作的DAC除了用多層底板的美國high end貨外，很多今天還可服役，如果仍常聽CD，買部有digital out的bluray cheap 機做transport會有驚喜，除了一些頂級的純CD transport會赢少少，性價比bluray/dvd player大勝。 大家有興趣可以比較下。 |

| [#844] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 孟波兄，我很多時也隨便用 DVD 當轉盆入舊解碼。當年有此古怪產品，駁在 DVD 與 dac 中間效果可更好，如 monarchy audio dip, genesis digital lens。 但最好還是當年的 cdm4, cdm9, Sanyo sf-p1.... 當時另一很少人用的 cs4328 dac chip 也很好。它聽似 1541 和 pcm53 的混合。很全面但不突出。 最後修改時間: 2022-05-01 11:42:10 |

| [#845] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 Ben兄， 我相信DVD 和bluray機播CD，它天先性因制式要求，要用較短波長和footprint的鐳射光拾取DVD/bluray 碟訊息，用來拾取CD那較大的反射凹凸紋，是工作輕鬆和較少出錯，所以好聲的背後可能係這原因。 |

| [#851] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 Ben兄當年的de-jitter device我差不多全部玩過，大部分都採用CS8412作reveiver再用個較準的石英晶振電路作PLL輸出，AA的Pro32可加入不同word length 的dither noise來改善DAC的LSB過渡特性，效果明顯可改變聲音，但聽真又不覺是改善，有得有失。 Digital Lens是同類最貴，它使用大量Rom作緩衝然後re-clock再輸出，它其實是抄我部Technics X1000 的jitter-free功能設計再獨立販賣，效果最明顯但好壞有時幾極端，用了它好處是靜了，定了和音場寬了和穩定，缺點是音樂木獨了，人聲厚了不過扁平冇晒凹凸變化，空氣感也會cut晒。 我最後都沒有使用這類產品。 |

| [#854] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 我都有部musicnote mu20，千幾淨轉盤真係超抵玩。 舊機好多時播多曲目長時間的cd會頂唔住跳線，所以先入多部。我平時用teac vrds 10，兩部都駁aragon d2a2，teac梗係靚聲點，但聽普通錄音歌仔，mu 20和vrds 10其實只差好少，係大聲點聽靚錄音cd先會有較明顯高低之分。  |

| [#858] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 上一次玩分體組合式號角喇叭系統已經是五-六年前，當然604都有horn不過是一體化。 除了大形multi-cell horn冇打算玩，呢種頗合家居的扇形smith horn，2000年買了對一吋咀Visaton但從未開過聲，主要係之前的2吋咀大CD horn太好聲唔願試一吋咀扇形horn,唔覺唔覺就咁擺低廿年，時光飛逝。 下星期返這對木製2吋咀smith horn，配2吋JBL 2440頭應該有排玩了。  |
