| [#869] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 Luxman M07也是我的dream amp, 早猩猩一日入宅所以未試猩猩，07聲底甜暖厚潤低音推力夠，應付對平日4ohm,最低2 ohm的Westlake BBSM 8卓卓有餘，同是100w但只是AB類的猩猩仔，面對07完全一D都唔失禮，一樣厚潤甜美，而且低音彈跳力更好少少，但07較結實又有另一風味，現在是旦開邊部我都收貨，猩猩仔發熱量低音色一樣甜美，我估夏天我多數唱佢了。 |

| [#874] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 jb兄我仍未玩新舊猩猩大比試。 呢牌反而狂試兩部轉盤和三部解碼，再配不同數碼綫的組合比較，希望找出不同匹配最可發揮每部解碼潛力的組合。 話說之前表現甚佳的cheap 鷄bluray機，在來回和正規重料的Lo-d DAP-001比較下，試出兩者差異，Bluray機得益於較精確的藍光頭來唱CD，分析力高超但韻味和音樂感不敵正規轉盆，但配合最初代16bit晶片的Lo-d解碼又有畫龍點睛，提高舊解碼分析力之利，還給我無意發現bluray機有音量控制的話，一定要每次著機校盡音量，否則它會在digital domain調低音量令解碼可用bit數降低影響整體解析力。  |

| [#875] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 Sir Ball, I had just joined your club!!!!! Browsing the local facebook market I found "Speaker and valve amp" and nothing much much. I clicked the link and it said two plywood cabs, one with 1947 Altec 604c and original crossover, another cab with just the crossover. There is a leak amp to power it. Need not to say I went there because it was only 30 minutes from my home. Well!!!! It was a valve analogue recording studio. The seller owns the studio and also a member of two bands mainly doing classic rock, rockabillies, swing rock and all Elvis and Buddy Holly stuff. I asked where was the other 604c and he said that it was sent to repair but never got back and he took over the place from the previous guy and he knew nothing about it!!!! That said lovely cabs and at least I still have the other crossover. I have to say I do not know anything about the 604c apart from reading your thread. I was in total shock when I saw the cab and the size of the 604c. They are BIG and I mean they are very BIGGGGGGGG!!! he has some analogue recording gears as well but I have no idea what they are. Perhaps Alan amd you may be able to help. I will post the pictures of the gears and the owner(with his permission). Doesn't the owner look like Uncle Ray? The funny thing is Ray is his name!! One of his bands is called Sugar Ray Trio!! Since there is only one working 604c and a single Leak amp it will be just a Mono set-up which is fine as I only have good ear!!!!! ha...ha.... | [#878] 踏上玩Altec 604的第一步 手痕駁對舊年買冇乜玩的5吋口徑改良迷官式的喇叭仔，估唔到高音靚到似Proac仔，更奇蹟係聽小品樂器錄音有一種久違的真實現場感，大出意外。 上網看不到資料，印象中曾經在90年前的發燒音響見過廣告，不像是用燒了高音的Clements little d 改上半球高音的DIY作品。 手上咁啱有對瓜了平面薄膜高音的little d, 如果換其他高音可以靚成咁，諗起都開心。  |
