| [#1] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 小弟剛換左對Focus Audio FC 7 座地 (Sensitivity: 86dB/1 Watt/1 meter), 但覺得部NAD 355BEE 好似唔夠力推 (80W x 2 Continuous Power into 8 ohms)，係唔係80 Watt唔夠? 以前用Paradigm (Sensitivity: 92dB) 部NAD 推得OK. 我係唔係要換部夠力o既Amp? 有冇 Integrated Amp 推介? 抑或可以照用355BEE 再加d野既bi-amp? 用緊Rega Apollo CDP. Thanks |

| [#4] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 Watts per channel is never a good indication of ability to drive speakers. 75 Watts per channel from Naim is a lot of power already. Which Naim amp did you test with? I do not think there is a 75WPC Naim power amp/ The Naim NAP200 is 70WPC and the NAP250 is 80WPC, NAP300, which cost ＞$80,000, is "only" 90WPC. |

| [#6] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 agentsmittie, you are right. Sorry - my mistake. In the Hi-fi shop, they actually used two Amps to demo (both used Rega Apollo as CD player) 1. Exposure 2010S (75 Watt per channel) - http://www.exposurehifi.com/2010s3.htm 2. NAIT XS integrated amplifier (60 Watt per channel) Both sounded great with FC 7. But now when I am home, it seems my NAD is not capable to drive the speakers. Any suggestions? |

| [#10] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 sell the nad and swap for the exposure or nait. both have better power supplies than the nad. 86db and 89db with a 3db difference u would need to double the power to obtain same sound pressure level. so when you have a burst of loud sound the power supply of nad cannot handle with inferior/inadequate capacitors and transformers. thats why you find exposure and nait can demand higher prices. |

| [#12] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 加部power amp = using bi-amp? ------------------------------ 有幾種講法的~bi-amp可以係兩部int一齊用~a int pre out過去b int~咁兩部int都各自用喇吧線~一部推高音~一部推低音~ 又或者加一部純power amp~一樣係int pre out過去~又一樣係各自用喇吧線推喇吧 正路就純power amp會好d~int始終唔同純power amp~ 不過我係你的話我會買部好d既int~因為你本身部nad唔係好靚聲既機~再加多部amp只係好左推動力~而且加多部amp就要多一對訊號線~多一條電源線~呢到都閑閑地三幾千啦~再加你預算萬五就已經係萬八~賣左部nad~加埋都有兩萬左右~ 兩萬int好唔錯架喇~應夠玩你對座地~以上只係小弟愚見 |

| [#16] Amp 好似唔夠力推新喇叭 usually amp manufacturers only quote RMS root mean square power rating. this is an averaged rating not when outputting burst. think of you playing orchestra music and there is a sudden trumpet burst. the energy required will be a lot more with lesser amps exhibit deficiencies. that is why you need a very well designed amp with big transformers and capacitors to supply the required electrical power. and that is why i always propose to choose your speakers first according to your room size and treatment, music taste and appearances. then you choose your power amp follow by pre amp and source equipment. this is not a rule but it is a path with more chance of success in acquiring your equipment. mpact with nad int amps it is known that the jumpers used for pre out/main in are inferior. if you are using them you may swap with some short rca interconnect cables. also using thick speaker cables can help current flow to give you less compressed sound. |
