| [#1] 可以整個R33精華區? I haven't asked the admin if it's legitimate to do it. If the admin has any reasons to object please let me know. Hifi to me isn't really about hifi. If it isn't about music, I won't play hifi. I am more the kind of 'I like music' then 'hifi' kind of people. I actually hate learning hifi, changing gears, moving speakers, discussing whether this USB is better than that. But I met many weird and amazing people here. NAR, chartwell, chinaman, george, 孟波, 254mm, welborne, Vash and many other unnamed ones (real or virtual). I was exposed to many new ideas and learn many things. I guess many still remember the good old days. R33 has gone through many ups and downs; people coming and leaving, so on and so forth. Some left to form whatsapp groups, some still stay here, insisting to share their knowledge. Some are still crazy about hifi; some gave up; some listen to music one hr a day; some like jazz only; some like only female vocals; some like all. Some just started this hobby in a small room; some are retired, helping passing on their knowledge to newcomers; some keep posting (george!) classical music posts. Despite all quarrels, disagreement and tough transitions, it's still a forum with very interesting mix of people and arguments. And most of us are from Hong Kong. OK, a bit sentimental. One very interesting thing here for me is r33 has a particular flavor of Hong Kong' - both English and Chinese are used here. Many are 'HK diasporas' as well, residing not in HK. We are always in Nicam mode. It's less the case in other forums. The atmosphere here is unique. So to speak, this nicam mode seems to remind, again, our good old days (though we're moving forward). SO I come up with one idea to reboot this forum, if possible. Or if it fails, at least what I am suggesting would revoke many people's memories of this forum, and construct an archive for us to use this forum in a more effective way. It's just a tiny experiment. Participate if you find it meaningful. Its future depends on the responses of r33 members. My baseline is, if no one participates, then what I am posting here is just my personal interests. Never mind, it's really ok. |

| [#2] 可以整個R33精華區? My suggestions are simple 1. Goal: Construct a R33精華區 2. I have constructed mine. I don't have the time to look for all the posts that interested me in the past. My personal interest and ability also tend to push me to pay attention / remember some rather than others. So what I posted in the next post is just MY personal collections. My R33精華區 so to speak. 3. My R33精華區 could be expanded in the future. But for the time being I just post one with sufficient number of posts to catch your attention, and get the ball rolling. 4. So the INVITATION is, any r33 members could also post their R33精華區 after mine. It could be shorter than mine. It doesn't matter. 5. The more important thing I hope however, is that these posts are GOOD POSTS. That's why I call it R33精華區. I am not a DIYer, so I haven't included DIY stuff in my list. But if you are, please suggest the best DIY, informative posts here. Etsang3 sir have done a lot of repair works - gathering his significant posts in one place is superb, for example. 6. So if more members join this game, roughly use my format, then after a while I will incorporate all these suggestions and reorganize them in a new updated post to get a even better R33精華區, with contributions from different members. 7. That's it. Honestly, I think it's not going to work actually :) if that's the case, it will be my private memory post :) |

In the old days audio manufacturers not only talked about point-to-point wiring, but the way to wrap component leads around one another prior to solder application, so that each joint conducts signal without solder in between. The solder acts solely as a mechanical binder and/or a protective layer against oxidation, and this minimises coloration arising from various components of solder. What has happened to modern audio gears? They are prepared like fast food! Every module is "plug-and-play", pretty much like those video and sound cards inside a computer. I could no longer feel the spirit, enthusiasm and dedication from manufacturers.
