Rechargeable battery also may work. The only thing is rechargeable is mostly 1.2v while precharged one like Duracell is 1.6v

NI-MH fully charged is 1.5V. 1.2V is the voltage with loading.

Ni-MH's voltage is more stable. Buy the Sanyo eneloop. Can have 70-80% capacity after placing for one year.
