| [#1] Good reference - Prism Orpheus + HD650 I found this an amazing combo, revealing what the recorded sound should sound like (good touches and flaws both revealed), without room acoustics of your own, or any intentional or unintentional 'tuning' caused by cables, misplacement of speakers, unbalanced fixtures and so on (infinite list ...). A good reference for setting up speakers and room acoustics of my own room. I just wonder if anyone also uses headphone as a kind of reference for tuning room acoustics and speaker positioning (which I think as the two utmost important things besides gears). Well, I do anyway. Now I know my room has the basic sound tone as revealed by the headphone, with a bit of room ambiance. | [#5] Good reference - Prism Orpheus + HD650 I downgraded to Prism Lyra 2 to use with my home PC recently, its USB2 IO and not firewire. It sounds really great and worked with most DAW using ASIO driver but it lacks Windows media driver which I made a complaint to Prism. Prism promised to make this driver available soon. |

| [#6] Good reference - Prism Orpheus + HD650 you may also need a good mic for more accurate measurement. Any suggestion from NAR hing? Headphone may not be the best tool for checking low frequency! |
