| [#6] B&W 804S/D 夾不夾膽機? Ching, if u check the spec of 804D: http://www.bowers-wilkins.net/Speakers/Home_Audio/800_Series_Diamond/804-Diamond.html#productSpec Nominal imped. 8ohm, and minimum 3 ohm. It is not ideal for tube amp. High current and quality solid state should serve better, such as Accuphase, Gryphon, and the old Rowland models. From listening experience, it delivers substantial upper to mid bass energies with the right solid state amp., it probably requires both high quality and powerful tube amp to exercise control on the bass drivers and deliver similar results. | [#9] B&W 804S/D 夾不夾膽機? after viewing some user review in USA, they always think that McIntosh C220(Tube pre) + MC 275 (Tube Power) combo with B&W 804D is very good combo indeed. But I seldom see Hong Kong user has such combo. Is it a matter of listening area size? |
