[#1] CAT 7 LAN 介绍要買CAT 7 LAN Cable 由書房Router, Switch 及NAS接明線到廳部Network player, 所需長度約 8 ~ 9 M (廿幾呎), 請問有乜牌子既LAN 線推介? 本地邊到可以買到? 要求如下: 1. 因為要黐在地下行牆脚, 線身一定要夠軟, 容易跟牆脚走 (之前買過一條1M Supra CAT 7 LAN, 但硬如鐵線, 馬上放走, 怕怕…) 2. 圓身扁身均可 (雖然有人說扁身缐冇圓身屏蔽好冇咁靜, 但要考慮黐在地下行牆脚, 可能扁線較方便?) 3. 線身直徑不能太大, 最大不要超過6MM (直徑太大會過唔到書房門下面空位) 4. 音質不錯的LAN 線都可以接受 Thx!		mm622 正式會員 175.xxx.xxx.7	2018-04-26 11:31

My situation may be similar to you.

I run a long Cat 7 LAN cable (Ugreen, flat cable) from NAS to FMC (x 2) then Cat 7 (Ugreen, circular cross section) to Lumin. Solid core/hard cable is not suitable.

I can only change the FMC to Lumin cable in the future.

No dissatisfaction so far. No noise. Now I play hi-res files and ripped CDs most of the time and almost forget my SACD player.

My 2 cents.

Ugreen 綠聯 is a Chinese brand manufacturer that produces high quality cables, especially computer related cables. An ideal choice to begin with before you throw $10K+ to LAN cable. You can order it on Taobao.

There are too many snake oil in CAS cable products. Ugreen costs almost nothing and you won’t hurt if it doesn’t satisfy you. BTW it works on my $250K+ system.

You are right! Ugreen/its dealer has sold their products on eBay for quite a while.

You may use this channel to get the cable (a bit expensive compared to Taobao).

Gold plated RJ45, Cat 7 and flat cable. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I remember some members here recommend Ugreen as well as some other brands which are also reasonably priced. I'll also try other overseas cables in the future. Changing the RJ45 to famous German Telegartner plugs may be fun, too.

我搞不清楚cat 5 cat 6 cat 7在傳輸檔案上對声音有什麼分別，播放音樂檔不需要高速傳送，用 cat5 (100Mb/s) 已足夠有餘，給你送檔案應該是沒有分別的，用TCP/IP傳送，packet base，有bit checking, 可100% 無損，因可重傳，有buffer 便可。
而有分別的是用在 steaming, 如播放工具在NAS, 那傳送方式是 streaming, 可以有損失， cat7 會比cat5 更準確。
CD transport 傳送住 DAC 就是 streaming 型式，不能重傳，只能靠 DAC 內的邏輯元件插回失去的信息。

一定會用CAT 7, 問題是圓缐定扁缐，扁缐對我會方便好多因為成9 ～10M 長而且要跟牆腳走，但聽說扁缐比圓缐少層屏蔽，所以睇下各位有冇品質好屏蔽又足夠既扁缐推介（又或者缐身夠軟直徑又細容易走牆腳位的圓線好介紹). Thx
