[#1] Denon DCD1510 vs Yamaha S2000 Dear all C hing, I am consider to have a new cd player. Both Denon and Yamaha are on the list. On the other hand, cant test side by side due to sell in different shops...but, anyway, performance are quite nice to me. Just want to gather more information and opinion with both cd players. Below is my set up: CD:????? (using a Pioneer DVD as temp player + a cheap cheap ultramatch pro DAC) CD to Amp: Furutech (forget model) Amp: Marantz SA15S1 Amp to Spk: Gotham 50150. I am S2000 owner.
but, I think Denon is the one your need.
BECAUSE .... you are using SL6si
(i like this spk)

Denon is more suitable to SL6si. (just my idea)

Can you explain a bit with it? In fact, I like clear, not "tuned" sound, and analytical but not really need a very punchy sound.

(my idea and experience)
Denon and Yamaha are different approach for sound.

Denon , more color, more punch, more "pop" .
Yamaha , clear, natural, not that much bass...etc

SL6si . (used it years ago), "strong taste",
good for pop, punch, ...etc

so.... Denon perfectly match Sl6si.

很小人用CD機去夾喇叭, 只係希望音源盡量失真最低同最真實最自然,我之前都玩過SL6, 唔夠低音只係部機唔夠力, 我上星期上去一位綱友到,佢夾左好多部AMP,都推不到好聲,我借部平價30W class A比佢試, 當時有3位發燒友在塲, 大家都應同係暫時夾得最好既AMP, 同塲亦有測試 SL600, SL700, AR2ax , AR LST, 你亦可到來一試, 就明白為何從不用CD機去就喇叭, 只會選最真實的重播聲音音源

補充:我本人用過幾部Denon 1500 CD機, 只會覺得高音及分析力略為弱一點, 變相低音會多左係好正常既事, 如果同級我第一會選 Yamaha S2000, 第二會選Pioneer D9, 現乎你個人喜觀那一個多D

Yamaha 係樂器世家, 始終係玩原音同真實感
Pioneer 佢揾 Air Studio較聲, 目的都係想玩真實同原音

以上只係參考意見, 你喜觀失真同誇長音樂某一部份另計

provide 2 choices and cd + spk.
