| [#5] HFC MC-0.5 (Helix +) 其實放插係邊度都有impact. 不過理論上近source (preamp)會比較敏感。 另外我問過Rick, 越近上游越有效果 （例如入牆位）。慢慢試先好玩。 |

| [#8] HFC MC-0.5 (Helix +) 以下係同Rick 昨晚的電郵內容。結論係 要開機 Play music. Q1: Is it really necessary to turn-on the machines, and to play the music for burn-in? Or if you play the music, you need 400 hr, otherwise if you only get MC-0.5/MC-1 connected, you need much much longer time, say thousand hrs, to burn-in? Ans: (Rick) You cannot run it with devices off and expect break-in. They do have to be powered on and playing music even at low levels but without music you do not have an adjustment in the components to the new A/C signal. Q2: Assuming I will play the music for burn-in, (Q2.1) my Power Amp does not have MC-0.5/MC-1 connected, do I need to turn-on Power Amp? (If power amp is not on, the speaker will be quiet and people can sleep…I can keep playing the CDP/Pre….) Ans: (Rick) Yes it must turn-on, and adjust as well. (Q2.2) Can I burn-in, say, 10 hours in a day, and turn-off remaining 14 hours?? Ans: (Rick) Sure it will take longer but you can do that. (Rick) We're discussing "total break-in". The system are sure to sound great long before they fully settle. |
