| [#4] Esoteric K-07X Ching I am not sure about your budget but you may want to consider Esoteric K-03x. Used price is around $40K. (new K03xs is around $69K-70K) I am currently using K03x (previously K03 and X05). Esoteric players from K01x/K03x onwards are VERY musical and neutral (older generations tend to be a bit analytical and dry) K03x is very close to K01x at around 60% of the price. I have not compare it to Luxman so cannot comment. Just my humble opinion. Happy listening :) |

| [#6] Esoteric K-07X Ching you may want to take a look at K05x. My friend has recently sold his K05x for $30k and upgraded to a new K03xs. I have not compared K05x and K07x side by side but believe K05x may be noticeably better. There are 3 major differences between them. The most significant difference is the drive mechanism. K05x has a simplified version of VRDS drive (EMM Labs and dCS OEM the same drive as K05x from ESO). K07x does not have VRDS drive. 2nd difference is the crystal oscillator. The one in K05x (same as old K01/K03) is better than K07x. (The one in K03x is even better) 3rd difference is toroidal transformer of K05x. K07x has a normal EI transformer. The main circuit board are the same. They use the same AK4490 DAC chip from AKM. If you don’t mind buying 2nd hand at $30K I think K05x may be a very good choice. If you can stretch your budget to $40K for a 2nd hand K03x the SQ improvement is well worth that extra $10K. I am speaking strictly from my experience and personal preference, and not try to sell you anything. K03x is my 3rd Esoteric player in the last 10 years so I consider myself knowing something about Esoteric. Happy listening :) 最後修改時間: 2018-06-20 23:38:50 |
