| [#12] 大家有冇用REW做測量，並在ROON上使用 報告： 初次使用ROON的Convolution Filter做room correction。Filter由REW產成，收音是miniDSP的UMIK-1。 REW在Window 10上運作，電腦是laptop，操作時把laptop的display關掉、並用遠端遙控laptop上的REW作測量。 有Filter時為A，沒有時為B，以下是老虎大人的意見： 1）大人認為B的人聲較好聽：她說原因是A的人聲較散，我的看法是，A重播錄音中的reverberation（折射）較B明顯。 2）大人認為A的音樂較好聽：我的看法是，A重播中低到低頻，較B收斂許多，讓原先被蒙蔽了的細節，重新被耳朵接收。 我個人認為，初步感受的分別十分明顯。 現在去聽一聽Pink Floyd的The Dark Side of the Moon，再回到報告。 最後修改時間: 2019-07-14 13:45:07 |

| [#14] 大家有冇用REW做測量，並在ROON上使用 #13 nevermindband 是的，雖然冇見過Linux版的ROON Core，但相信有Convolution Filter功能的。把REW產成的Filter滙入Core的Convolution Filter即可。 購買MIC時，選擇有提供Calibration File的，否則會直接影響到測量結果。 之前沒有留意，原來你的Core在NAS上運行，要留意的是 ，NAS上的CPU一般不強、RAM的headroom也不是太多，而當選擇用DSP Engine重播時，如以Convolution Filter做room correction，CPU或RAM有可能不足以應付。 我的Core沒有用Convolution Filter時行4.7x，行Convolution Filter時行4x，給你參考一下。 最後修改時間: 2019-07-14 14:32:11 |

A popular official solution is to use NUC8i7BEH + 8GB RAM + SSD (for Roon database) running ROCK (linux-based and is free but you still need a Roon license). If you do not use a Roon Ready network streamer or bridge, and use a USB DAC only, the USB DAC needs to be Linux compatible for ROCK to work. | [#16] 大家有冇用REW做測量，並在ROON上使用 剛試Roon on Linux, direct USB to DAC但沒有Native DSD選擇, 只有DoP. 上網把文Native DSD直接ASIO driver先得,應該只有Windows. 包括Rock都沒有! 要patch OS, 未搵到方法. 所以多數人中間用Streamer, 看到有RoPieee OS 用RaspherryPI streamer support native DSD. RoPieee support Amanero combo384 usb interface (自己DAC用緊). 請高手指點吓. |

| [#20] 大家有冇用REW做測量，並在ROON上使用 Roon Tested DAC does NOT imply it has native DSD driver in ROCK. For a USB DAC, check existence of native DSD support in Linux first. If there is none, then there is not much hope. If it exists, one may submit a request for it to be patched to ROCK, then wait for it to be patched at the discretion of Roon Labs. Pi distributions typically have much faster integration of such patches when requested. However, pre-version 4 Pi shared Ethernet bus with USB bus so high sample rate music from Ethernet is no good. If you have a specific brand and model of USB DAC, I can also check for you whether it is supported in standard Linux or Lumin streamer. Amanero USB DAC is especially problematic. You need to upgrade the Amanero USB firmware first, and there are several versions to try. An incorrect version will cause DSD left/right channel to be swapped. Particular DAC may also have noise / pop / muting issues with certain firmware versions. Some people also have problems with DSD512. For those who run Roon on PC and use an Amanero USB DAC, Windows is the simplest solution.
