It was one of the Jappy Techies in which they sold the labels for IMHO pseudo-techonolgies without real/perceivable contribution to the quality in the sound. I'm using it coz I bought it when I was a teenager and I paid for it working for Cafe de Coral in 1985. The other is a Revox B226 which I just got last month from an R33 C Hing here. It has only one TDA1540 chip. But the componentry is superb and sound is warm. The only drawback is there is no remote control sold with the original units when new back then. I feel that the detail in the B226 when playing through 8b and Tannoy Arden, remains something left for desire. But it looks cool. |
