The Denon 103 series is legend itself and should deserve to partner with serious turntable system. I still question why those sky priced MC can still survive in the cruel market. No doubt there are always better sounding MCs available in the market. But you will need to spend many times more to outperform the DL-103R in every department. My full recommendation particularly for entry to mid level. Sincerely regards |

DL103R is an excellent choice, don't underestimate the performance of 103r, it is good enough for most TT in the market IMHO, especially if u try to change the plastic body, the true potential of 103r is awesome  I think you should take a look at one of the cheap phono in the market : ifi iphono. it sounds very good for a $2 k product, if change the standard cheap PSU to LPS, even better! 最後修改時間: 2015-12-02 21:24:25 |

The modified one sounds better in some area (in my case vocal is sweeter) but I noticed significant weakness in other departments (the string). In short, I don't like modified non-R. |

| [#13] 請教 MC 唱頭 AT-F7 vs DL-103R I have tried: 1) original R, which changed to aluminium body R, ebony body R and back to aluminium body R; 2) original 103 pro, ebony body 103 pro; 3) original 103r, broken, then sent to Soundsmih retip with ruby cantilever, tried ebony body now using UWE Malachite body I don't have much experience on expensive cartridge, only a few mid price Dynavector (10x4, 17d3, xx1, xx2 and xx2 mk2) And some ZYX. (Airy 1 and Airy 2) I don't think 103r, especially the mod ones, are inferior to these cartridges. The 103 series can never KO these cartridges, but not that far behind as price suggested |

| [#15] 請教 MC 唱頭 AT-F7 vs DL-103R He heee, let's fire up the 103R dog-fight against other mega-$$$ cartridges subject, it might be fun .... :-) My experience is 103R replaced body offer substantial improvement sonically and worth every $$ to try especially if you are ready to give up the stock 103 or need to replace the cantilever. Daiwok mention in his lenco web site, the 103R with Soundsmith ruby cantilever and the green stone or midas aluminum body will kick many ass out there. I did not believe before ....  |
