| [#1] Is Accuphase E480 powerful enough to drive JBL4429 Hello everyone, I'm planning to upgrade to E480 and 4429, but I understand that 4429 is a very demanding pair of speakers, so I was wondering if E480 with a damping factor of 600 was good enough to control 4429? | [#2] Is Accuphase E480 powerful enough to drive JBL4429 The E-480 has 180W per Channel, should be enough for most normal speakers including the 4429. Any good amp having a damping factor of 100 or higher are more than enough. High Damping factor by using more power transistors and large power supply is good. Otherwise High damping factor by using a lot of negative feedback is rubbish. |
