But if you need a 4 Dr MT then you really have not much choice. |

[#18] MB w204 上 c63 brake Thanks for comment. I think we go quite off topic. When I was 20 I started my first car and the modifications comes in very car I had. I think modification is a personal preference and it is no right or wrong. Supercar ppl still modify, not becos it is not strong enough. I hate going to discus the comment ... Why you need that power in HK while u drive Nathan road everyday or you cannot maximize it why bother to modify it. I think u know what I mean. For the yearly exam, I got all modification which will pass. Ecu remap no way to tell as it is not piggy back box. Rim and tire no concern. Suspension I got b8 and h&r, no issue for exam as well. Yes, brake is a concern that is why I ask in this post about "direct bolt-on", if it is no custom bracket then exam will pass as well Going very far though, anyone has idea my initial question? (I know ppl have its own pt of view, but it is not always right applying to others. When I get my first 911 in the future I will change my mind not to bother to do any of these, but it doesn't mean that time the youngsters playing around their golf is stupid. |

[#16] MB w204 上 c63 brake 只想講多一樣野: 冇記錯你架c230好似係2008年 恕我直言, 你攪咁多野, 好大機會下年過唔到驗車 尤其係你個brake, 唔係原裝, 搭橋與否都易瀨野 到時先黎改番原裝, 會唔會玩自己先? 改ecu, 無論外卦定hack唔hack入電腦, 都只係整形 套用big 6人個句, 呢D叫折騰. 值唔值得因人而異, 就好似電腦超頻咁 但對我而言, 架車冇咁大個頭就冇好戴咁大頂帽, 如果唔係德國佬唔駛玩grading啦 玩車玩到走火入魔, 唔怪得D人玩車大嗌玩到窮, 乜Q都改, 益咗邊個先, 加上拆野既手工已經唔係好 冇野搵野黎改, 變咗病態. 隔離discuss有人話架520i改避震, 改到要鋸車尾箱個膠兜去就, 痴q線 |

[#15] MB w204 上 c63 brake I think we do always discuss about "buy another car in higher model" vs "modify exiting car". There is no clear answer. I do agree that sometimes it is better to change the car is easier. In my case, indeed c230 itself is under power even though I got the ECU chipped from euro charge already. Changed the advan 19" rim with pss. So the outlook is one concern (imagine 290mm disc in 19" rim), for braking force I think the stock one just "bare enough" and cannot go aggressive for late brake. I would say street use ok, sport drive bare enough but a bit dangerous Getting c63? May be a good choice but they don't have M/T and not my cup is tea (my w204 is MT). So if change can only be 4-dr M3 MT (e90 series) but quite rare, most MT is coupe. |

[#13] MB w204 上 c63 brake 唔係撥樓主冷水 呢度師兄已經講咗唔值得攪, 為外觀冇計 c230得過204匹,原廠已經好好收,就算amg pack加大cliper (好似4 pot) 同埋前轆用通風碟, 性能同冇amg pack分別不大 升amg cliper同碟全部換過, 又要計轆offset, 重做定四輪定位, 避震.....一大輪野 一攪唔得了, 錢又用多咗, 效果又唔係咁顯著 建議玩性能, 不如宜家直接買架c63, 2008年都唔駛50個, 原廠全部tune好哂 最重要係c63個頭冚同沙版唔同普通版長度唔同, 外觀改唔到的 唔啱聽唔好打頭 |

[#12] MB w204 上 c63 brake 個人經驗中,其實Benz同BMW既原裝brake,純粹制動性能上黎講一定足夠行街甚至飛街,當然為outlook就無得講 咁大間廠唔會走去慳呢D,原廠一早計好晒數,另外前後制動力分配以至traction conreol既運作模式亦係以原裝為依歸,亂咁去改大頭brake只會改變左原廠既brake balance setting,甚至影響埋traction control既運作方式,有突發野時其實仲危險左 何況如果只係個brake勁左,但呔無跟住upgrade都係無用架喎,個brake剎得住但條呔又grip唔grip到先?勁brake配雞呔其實仲危險過雞brake雞呔 唔放心既,最多換套brake pad(前後同一型號),換套好呔就乜都夠 當然,主要係為個樣的話,就當我無講過啦 |

[#10] MB w204 上 c63 brake Not quite. The stock setup is weird. The front brake disc is even smaller than rear disc (all original from MB). Running slowly in HK is fine but want to improve a bit on the safety. I would say not a must but better one. Called up another shop they just it can be "direct bolt-on". Haha. It is getting fun, a simple thing that could go many diff answer. |

[#5] MB w204 上 c63 brake Could be that C63's brakes are also a mixture of other models' like the C36 long time ago (S Class brake disc at front, something else at rear) Instead of thinking of C63's brakes, maybe you should look into other after-tuner's options like those from Brabus or Carlsson Note that some brakes from high-performance variants may require specific road conditions to be run-in So you need to find out if C63's ones are indeed of that category, becuz even when installed onto C230 they may not deliver the max potential |
