| [#1] VW quality. a few years ago, when VW started to have own dealership, I warned about the quality of the cars especially Golf.....and some C hings were bashing me big time........Now , time tells: 不良水貨車行出售「水浸車」時有聽聞，但有市民在福士陳列室買行貨新車，落地兩年已多處離奇生銹，懷疑購下「水浸車」，向福士追究未獲滿意回應，遂自掏腰包聘請律師及公證行撰寫專家報告，「公證行職員私下話我聽，佢哋唔係第一次處理福士呢類個案！」專家指出新車不尋常銹蝕，或與出廠後曾在灑了防滑鹽的雪地公路行駛有關。 事主李先生 09年在福士灣仔陳列室以 31萬購入 Golf私家車，職員稱是德國原廠新出，兩年來操作正常。今年初，李偶然將車送到車房維修，「師傅吊起架車一睇，見到車底生晒銹，勸我哋向福士了解」。 口頭承諾換零件 放大圖片 該車車底生銹情況明顯，部份位置嚴重銹蝕。 李堅稱該車從未泊在水浸的街道或停車場，甚至沒泊過在海邊，遂將車駛到福士維修部投訴。他指修車師傅曾口頭承諾免費更換生銹零件，但他不接受。「諗起呢兩年揸住架五癆七傷嘅車就覺得好危險，就算佢哋肯換零件，始終擔心安全，於是建議福士換架兩年車齡嘅 Golf畀我，點知福士拒絕，甚至連免費更換零件都無再提。有維修部經理仲問我『其實你係咪將架車泊喺海邊呀？咁樣我哋唔負責喎！』」李怒說：「根據佢嘅邏輯，即係話住喺海邊嘅人唔好買福士啦！」 福士公關部梁經理回覆查詢時堅稱，無證據顯示李先生車輛生銹與品質有關，故拒絕答應換車，但願意提供翻新除銹服務。梁承認有其他顧客曾就汽車生銹向維修部查詢，卻指每輛車情況有別，不會作比較。 香港汽車工業學會會長李耀培檢視過公證行報告及相片後，從銹迹並無蔓延到車胎以上位置分析，該車為水浸車的機會較微，但很大機會是運送時出事。「歐洲國家嘅道路經常積雪，交通部門會喺路面灑鹽防滑。由於車廠運送車輛未必一定用卡車，有時係直接駛去碼頭。過往曾發現有啲車出廠時防銹做唔足，駛去碼頭時沾鹽水，到達後又無補做防銹，只係車行及顧客無留意」。 |

| [#5] VW quality. my view is that: new products are designed with a life cycle in mind and cost min, profit max. also have to support many overhead non product related departments, such as marketing, legal, compliance, etc.... what you end up is, somethign that sells well, quick, in large qty, but breaks randomly, will not last forever and in general overly expensive. the DSG set vw apart from other band that doesn't have it, its nice , very very nice when it is working. but it is also its weakness when it dies on you. no matter the brand, its all about your luck when you make a purchase. AI....all new gearbox are troublesome, we all knew it, i heard many CVT are bad, DSG...etc, the better performance, the less they last. good old manaul never dies haaha 最後修改時間: 2011-12-07 11:06:08 |

| [#7] VW quality. Bingo x2. But then, what can you do about it? Your choices are diminishing quite quickly, apart from VAG, you got MB and Bimmer. l'Automobiles français? Well, I will consider it as a second car in Hong Kong (Honestly, The new Renault Mégane RS is nice and cool), not for day to day commuter. Saab is dying (or dead already), Volvo is OK (the new S60 looks good but too small), Jap's Yen are crazy enough that you won't choose a Jap car at the moment. So what else, AR/Fiat/Ford/Opel/Big Cat/LR? |

Especially when it comes to cars, seeing the post here, one would wonder why the mentality hadn't change for the last 30 years. For one thing, rust proofing in car has been improved a lot since the 70s and 80s, even cars in heavily salted areas do not have to do extra rust proofing since the 90s. There was definitely something wrong when the undercarriage of a car started to rust within 2 years. |

| [#20] VW quality. Thanks 人 Hing. I think there is a chance that these cars, or a particular lot, were assembled or final finishing done in China. And were not kept in proper storage before delivery. 2 years and rust like that doesn't make sense since HKG rains a lot and it can easily rinse off the excessive salt, IF any, where deposited "from the roads of Europe" as they claimed. Also another issue, like many C hings here mentioned already, even Italian cars build in the 90's don't rust like that anymore..... |
