| [#1] Need BMW E65/E66 7 series expert... Dear Chings.. Diagnostic check shows headlight level control failure. Left side Xenon light is definitely lower then the right hand side light. BMWHK inspected it and wants to charge $20,000 PER light, i.e. 40K total. Usual independent garage I use agree the lights have some kind of "problem" since they cannot manually adjust the headlight alignment, but say the model year in question 2005/Apr does NOT have stepper motor for adjustment so cannot just change just that part. So this is worrying concerning their expertise. Any one with similar experience or know a garage with 7 series expertise? Also car AUTO-P function has failed. Some component inside the auto gearbox that activate the 'P' has failed. BMWHK says need $50,000 to drain, open up, fix and refill transmission! Electric handrake function button is working OK. Anyone else experience the same? AUTO-P not essential can live without it. ...but lights are important. |
