[#1] Porsche dream car Never own a porsche, try a few times of driving 911 (1992 and 1997 version ) and Boxster (2000 version). Only worry is, cheap to buy ( 2nd hand I mean ), hard to maintain. Any brother have more experiences of owning one? Ken |

[#3] Porsche dream car I will suggest buying the youngest one you can afford, and never think of buying modified ones. A used car with Everything intact and original is the ultimate choice。 My friendly garage is repairing a some 8 years old highly modified Porsche , but they cannot find what is wrong with a Porsche computer due to the unknown modifications. You may, of course, rebuild it to original specs if money is not a problem. |

[#4] Porsche dream car My Cayman S PDK is 100% straight stock and has been trouble free so far - the car is 5 years old and I have no issues with it, except that due to occassional rattling noise at the back I replaced the rear suspension bushings a year ago. Other maintenance are just lube change per 10,000 km and annual checks. Replaced the battery in the 4th year as a precaution (it was still working well.... ). All checks and maintenance were done by Porsche Service Centre in Kowloon Bay. 3 months ago, I renewed the brake pads (using my own 3rd party garage). It is now on its 2nd set of tires - PSS - and so far very good. I would say maintenance cost is very reasonable to me. p.s. indoor parking. 最後修改時間: 2014-08-24 22:32:21 |

[#6] Porsche dream car My 993 Turbo is in yellow and I find its handling is raw and real to me. The price tags of those 1998 996 can be as low as HK$150k, not bad if you know good garages and can find a good example, there may be some good deals. Porsche and Benz are kind of like Hi Fi, some of the good elder models become legend can be much more expensive than the younger ones like 930, 964, 993, SL and etc but the maintenance won't be cheap. Happy motoring! |
