Dear all,

我行窩打老道往九龍塘方向,有數架車切我線扒我頭(我行約50),我要多次踏腳制,到我切線時又被人呠(我切線時習慣收慢, 我係p牌),其實切線有何秘訣(又容易又安全)呢?

People honked at you because you were cutting-in too tight, other drivers had to brake hard to avoid colliding with your car. That means that when you change lane, you have to leave enough space and adjust you speed to merge into the the traffic on the other lane. You should have learn how to change lane properly when you were learning to drive.

thank you for the reply... In fact, what has been learnt in school of motoring is not that useful... they always ask you to give way to others and don't cut lane unless there is almost no car in the next lane, which is almost impossible in HK...

好多車都係行最右線
去到 last minute 先 cut 返左
再上橋入獅隧
包括我自己都係咁
cut 多 d 就會熟手

其實行最左線
過埋禧福道等位先 cut 右上橋
都係差唔多咁上下時間

最慢係行中線

你切線要 pick up 番人地速度say人地架架車行緊70/80, 你行 50 切線, 架車就好難讓你,除非佢好好人+後面無乜車,如果唔係,就算佢肯讓你佢自己都好危險,因為後面會停唔切,俾後面撞, 所以其他車行緊7/80, 你最好行番差不多速度, cut 完仲要俾少少油,令讓你果架車唔洗點 dup 慢!

就算無7/80 都要有6/70, 等好心讓你果架車衹須要dup慢少少就讓到位俾你!

一路留意想cut果條line,
如果有位(determine有無位係重點,好多時係50/50),
一般如有超過2/3車位,車速又配合,
可以試下一邊look踏line,後車有意讓就慢慢入晒,
搵食車要留意多D

你自己判斷唔安全就唔好去,"呠"你係唔會死人的

其實你自己想清楚,如果你要合法地cut 兩、三條線才去到目的地,你要去就始終要cut,最多咪dup慢部車睇清楚,最怕係你手忙腳亂,拖泥帶水

e.g.
出香港仔隧道去海洋公園,你一定要cut兩、三條線,咁你收慢睇清楚亦好正常

I think I sometimes hesitate because I am not sure whether the distance between my car and the other car is enough for 'cutting the line'...
Another challenge is I will go from Shatin to Ping Shek thorugh Tate's Cairn Tunnel. After leaving the tunnel and moving to Kwun Tong Road, I have to cut three lanes to enter Ping Shek... It's real difficult to me

Bravo!!! Many drivers in HK don't seem to know that. Many drivers just think that once they signaled to change lane (usually they don't care whether it is safe enough to change lane or not), everyone should have slowed down to let them in.

yes, it's difficult.... but there should be no other ways to enter Ping Shek... (using clear water bay road cannot enter Ping Shek)

There are many roads similar to that in HK. Sometimes it was due to the geographical limitations, but many times it was just poor road planning/design.
