| [#14] 2012 BMW 3 Series - Spy Shots Production of 2012 BMW 3 Series to Start In November 2011 http://www.nitrobahn.com/production/production-of-2012-bmw-3-series-to-start-in-november-2011/ The production of the 2012 model of the BMW 3 series will commence from November this year. Incidentally, this will be just after the end of production of the actual generation 3 series by the automaker in October. The actual generation 3 series comprises of the E90 and E92 sedans and discontinuation of this model will open the room for next generation 3 series. The gen-next 3 series will comprise of the F30 sedan and the 2012 model year F30 will be continued till June 2012. The 2013 model year versions will be started from that point. The F30 will signify the new aggressive design trend of BMW. With slimmer look, dynamic lines with squat proportions and short rear overhangs this model will bring back the signature styling of BMW. The F30 sedan will be equipped with advanced technologies to reduce the carbon emissions and provide a higher fuel economy. This car will feature advanced and better brake energy regeneration, enhanced start stop-know-how and preheating of engine and the gearbox. The BMW 3 series will be offered in the 328i and 335i versions. The 328i version will feature the new BMW N20 turbo four-cylinder in line engine with a power output of 245hp. The 335i will get its power from an in-line six-cylinder engine producing 306hp. The production of this car will be at BMW’s Munich and Regensburg plant. This car is expected to hit the European market in March 2012 and the US sales are expected to commence from late spring of 2012. |
