| [#1] experience of using china petrol I am considering buying 2nd hand car (2010). Owner tells me it is used to travel to china and he fills the car with china petrol. Can anyone share any experience or views? Market price is lower to reflect higher mileage but otherwise full service history from dealer. My main concern is any permanent problems due to fuel...but then there are already so many BMW and Benz in China and they all use china fuel right? |

| [#3] experience of using china petrol My 95' old car using Sinopec fuel for several years, no fuel problem in between. Some say China oil is poor mileage, engine poor power or engine shaking while idol, I don't think so. I tried Shell and seems no difference, may be my car is too old for testing. Most of the petrol cars on earth which can use unleaded petrol, should be ready to use 90 grade or higher petrol. Even the Sinopec, it should be 95 or even 98 class. BTW, I am still able to run 8~8.5KM/L in hot summer while the spec is 9KM/L. I use my car to deliver goods which include plenty of stop and restart, so as traffic jam in city. |

Actually I have used the Sino/Petro fuel in HK and seems ok as people say this is really from Singapore. I am just worried of the quality of fuel in PRC... |

| [#10] experience of using china petrol If using fuel from China, my garage told me that the life of the cat (catalyst converter) will be shortened due to the lower quality of the fuel, and replacing the cat can be quite expensive (over $10k for some cars)! |
