| [#10] Who drives this car? I really don't understand the mentality of "Maybe just new hand, forgive him/her, we all once new hand.....". Isn't getting a driver license at least meant the driver would not endanger other users of the road? Such practice of cutting into another lane is very dangerous and even a newbie driver should not be doing it (assuming he/she was trained properly, of course). | [#11] Who drives this car? Newbies usually neglect the "blind spot" when cutting lanes, therefore most of them do not perform sholder check and cause accident. I always prevent to go into the "blind spot" of any parallel running cars for a prolonged period. That's very dangerous if that is a newbie. |

If they didn't know it, how could they learn to check their blind spot, until they had an accident? Checking blind spot was pretty much one of the first things my driving instructor drilled into my head when I first learn to drive. I believe that shoulder check is required during driving examinations. How could they forgot about it after they got their license? It is so sad that there were so called driving instructors in HK taught only skills required to pass the driving test, not proper and safe driving practices. Many I knew who learn to drive in HK had no concept of defensive driving, 2 seconds rule, right of way etc. ＞I always prevent to go into the "blind spot" of any parallel running cars for a prolonged period. | [#13] Who drives this car? not sure if driving test in Hong Kong involve going on highway such as where the photo was taken. yes and the speed during the test is un-related to real road situration and we have speical rude and mad road users who only think him/herself is the most important road users on the road. look at those taxi drivers, many jsut keep flashing their light and horn as soon as someone is in front of his car. i have done this sort of thing myself (like what the jazz was doing) and I am a regualar driver, sometimes you make mistakes, so in theory, the other driver should react and accident could be avoided unless everything is going too fast ! and thats why we have speed limits... and accdient is accident, bad luck is sometiems unavoidable. |

| [#14] Who drives this car? seambeer hing, believe you are an experience driver, also agree that sometimes people make mistakes. However, natural disastor is unavoidable, but most accident is caused by human faults. There are too many careless drivers on the road, they aren't just careless, they are irresponsible selfish dumbass, bad driving attitudes, bad habbits. Many people think that posting this kind of video on youtube is meaningless, but I support everyone who caught those bad ass on tape, post them all on youtube, hoping their family, their friends, their colleagues....etc recognize his/her car and realize he/she drive so badly on the road, will make the driver change his/her driving attitudes. |

| [#15] Who drives this car? b.ho agree. i don't mind ppl rushing pass and going real fast as long as they know what they are doing. dumbass is the perfect word ! these drivers are everwhere in Hong Kong, they do dangerous moves for no reason. no benefit to anyone... I really feel the difference when I drove in Japan and downunder, ppl are more polite and 'resonable'. |

"The driving attitude in HK is quite similar to that in PRC and Taiwan" ------------------------------- I have no idea how Taiwanese drive but I think I can say something about PRC drivers, I myself drive in Shanghai for last 5 years and I still commute HK/Shenzhen several times a week now (with driver). If compare to PRC drivers, this PW2877 Jazz driver is just a kindergarten lousy driver ! However, PRC is PRC, HK is HK, in PRC, although you drive crazy, but every other drivers on the road are "well prepared" for crazy drivers crazy action, regardless you signal them or not, they already expect every car passing by or parallel to them will at the end cut in front of them. No matter you agree or not, this "well prepare", "expected" mindset, meant all drivers are more alert. Touch wood, I have never came across any accident in PRC all these years, bless me!!! Concept such as "2 sec rule" and basic defensive driving techniques such as not driving in the blind spot of another car are very basic knowledge that should be taught by all responsible driving instructors. Knowledge such as "right of way" , "drive on the left" and "pass the right" are actually traffic laws any driver should know. Driving instructors not knowing these or not teaching these are basically putting a lethal weapon (a car) in the hands of their student without telling them how to use it properly.
