| [#21] E90 - ENGINE高水溫 "超過六年嘅歐洲車, 包括Bimmer係好可怕的. 每季都會有嘢整, 問人点整都問到怕." yes la...but when they are working they are beatiful... normal water should be 90C and should stay there amost 99% of the time. if there is water and the fan is spinning, yes, check the water pump! HK garage is useless, most of time they are lazy, careless and just want to do the simplest thing and not really help you out. i once has my cooling fan changed (stopped working of coz), also the fuse was blown. they just replaced it and not replaced the fuse. it worked as longa s the air con was on, (because when air con is on the fan is switched on) i figure out later the fuse was not replaced. and i end up putting a new one in myself. (i did told them the fuse was blown) ....ai...so many bad stories...even you go the dealer repair....when you do, usually the story is 400% cost more than road side garge, but same SHIT ! |

| [#29] E90 - ENGINE高水溫 When the coolant temperature is running high, the first thing to check is, of course, the coolant level. Just take a look at the coolant overflow tank and if it is empty, you are running out of coolant very likely caused by a leak in the cooling system (from simple loosen hose clamp to leaks in radiator). Did you even notice a green puddle under your car at where you park? No brainer. In fact, every time I backed out of my parking space, I always took a look to see if there is any kind of puddles in the parking space. I caught a leak of transmission oil just by doing that. If the coolant level is OK, things to check are: cooling fan (although you may have it fixed recently, are you sure the mechanic did a good job hooking it up?), or its fuse? water pump, seized thermostat, blocked cooling system (when was the last time you flush your cooling system? never, right?!?) etc. These are pretty standard procedures to be taken by any competent mechanic. Cooling system is purely mechanical and can be easily fixed unless there is a hidden leak or very fine crack. BTW, I also had a dying battery once and during traffic jams, it couldn't be charged properly. It pulled down the voltage and slowed down the cooling fan, as a result the coolant temperature ran higher than usual. |

| [#32] E90 - ENGINE高水溫 水泵壞左多數係漏水同嘈,好少會唔work。 水膽唔work可以自己check,凍車著車等水溫升到約90度,去摸下水箱熱唔熱,唔熱就可能水膽壞左。如果水温從凍车到6-70度摸水箱會熱,水膽都有問題。 仲有風扇係由温控sensor控制,有d車分兩级風速,水溫100度左右風扇會開始轉,你可以自己check下... |
