| [#7] RS7 無人駕駛 Audi made it very clear the purpose of this development project was not to create a robotic racing car, or take the fun away from driving; but to improve a car's intelligence to take action in emergency situation or urban traffic. The efforts spent in researching high speed sensing and precision autonomous control will ultimately lead to break through in safer cars on the road. Imagine when a driver suffers a heart attack while driving - the car detects the situation and switch to self-control and manages to safely move itself from the fast lance through the traffic and stop by the road side, while initiating an emergency call giving precise GPS information of the driver.... This will be a safer world for our next generation. |

| [#9] RS7 無人駕駛 I think it is more than 3D imaging and precision GPS. Actually this is at the forefront of sensing and high speed artificial intelligence. How the various information gathered in real time is processed, analysed and translated, again in real time, into instructions to the electro-mechanical components present huge scientific challenges. In addition, since the technology will one day be applied to road cars, how to make the system reliable, fool proof, fail safe yet doing all the right things are at the same time affordable to consumers just make the equation more complicated than ever.
