| [#5] Audi A4 1.8T vs Benz C200 I am using this generation a4 1.8. And I have tested drive for c200 too. Handling : c200 win Comfort : c200 win, I must really dislike the hard seat and offset of the gas peddle of a4! C200 have better seat comfort and drive position. Performance : similar, but c200 have a smoother gear box Design : c200 have a very attractive and dynamic driving cabin, exterior also very smart. A4 is more neat and man look. Room: c200 has a better seat comfort of the rear seat but less leg room, a4 rear seat is too steep which not good for long journey. Quality: a4 seems a bit better workmanship, but the steel shell seems thinner as Japanese car. C200 improve a lot for this facelift version and more solid feel. Price: a4 cheaper than c200, but a4 is a front wheel drive. For me, I am tempted to change a new c200. Fresh model! More comfortable! |

I have heard that benz must be cheaper to service since spare parts are easy to get and many local service shops knows how to service/repair benz. 2. Resale value is higher. 3. Leather seats, sun roof are extra? new style head lights not offered. These make it quite a lot more expensive to buy though. 4. I have heard that benz is the most reliable German car. |

| [#8] Audi A4 1.8T vs Benz C200 C200 Kompressor should be with supercharger. The new facelift is very good in appearance. And I am impressed with its fantastic fuel economy. Nowadays, being environmental friendly is a must for myself. And yes, Mercedes do hold their value much better than BMW and Audi, especially C-class! They are quite rare on second hand market and if one appears, usually it will go within days. I cannot say modern Mercedes are very reliable. They got that reputation when we still have the diesel ones as taxis in sixties. As pure mechanical cars, they are really very reliable in those days. A lot of cars do catch up now. Or you can say, modern cars use a lot of electronics and they are all unreliable anyway....:-) |

May be I am un-lucky! No experience for Benz yet! The Japanese cars are still better off. May be they are more conservative! |

| [#11] Audi A4 1.8T vs Benz C200 Why comparing 1.8T with C200? Though with similar performance, they are at completely different price segment. C200 Advantgarde (~430K, add another 25k for the ILS(xenon)) a4 2.0t now sold at 410k only So with the xenon(the standard halogen for the C class looks very different from the Xenon and quite fugly indeed), the C200 costs at least 50k more than even a 2.0T. |
