| [#2] 海外自駕遊 提防亂收費 還車時未入滿油需收取行政費 -- This is actually pretty standard practice, you should know it before your rent a car, otherwise you are just an idiot, nothing related to 隱藏高昂收費.. 若旅客在泥地或碎石路等道路駕駛而發生車禍 - still, I think only idiot will do that, now just try to blame others for his or her own fault. What the hell is Consumer Council doing this time? P.S. 消委會過去六年收到五宗投訴 - it is not too bad after all, only 5 idiots in 6 years. |

| [#3] 海外自駕遊 提防亂收費 Whenever I rented cars overseas, they always listed all the charges. The same applied when I booked through Internet (sometimes, local taxes were not listed but they did tell you that applicable local taxes would be applied). As for exorbitant gas charges on non-full tank, at least in N.America they would remind you when they gave you the key. If the renter didn't pay attention on what the agency said, who was to blame? These days, many car rental companies provide an option to return without a full tank. Of course, if the renter damaged the car and didn't buy any CDW/ADW coverage then shouldn't the renter be responsible for the repair (in fact, the renter may have to pay for the number of days the car being out of commission)? If a renter ignored or didn't bother to read the rental contract, it would be the renter's own fault. One thing I noticed is that, these days, many HK people, especially those so called journalist, had lost their common sense and always put the responsibility/blame on others for their ignorance/lack of common sense. Who is to blame when you didn't read the contract and asked questions in the first place? |
