Request for investigation and prosecution of the HONG KONG POLICE FORCE

Dear Sirs,

I would like to report that during the past few months, there were frequent demonstrations in Hong Kong by the local citizens, which were initiated to object the Extradition Bill proposed by the Hong Kong Government.

During the demonstrations, the Hong Kong Police used unreasonable brutal forces / violence to disperse and arrest the demonstrators, including physical attacks, tear gas and plastic bullets.

As identified and verified by the demonstrators, tear gas used by the Hong Kong Police were well past the Expiry date and we understand that expired tear gas is actually toxic or harmful to health.

The Hong Kong SAR government refused and keep on refusing to form an independent investigation committee to investigate the current turmoil as well as the seemingly unlawful acts done by the police police force.

In this regard, I would like to seek your assistance to instigate investigation into the unlawful enforcement of the Hong Kong Police, including the use of expired tear gas.

Thank you for your kind attention. I hope by your international impartial status as well as the connection with the UN, you can help us to stop the violence and offences being done by the HK Police, and bring true justice to us.

Regards,

XXXX

Pls consider using this revised and updated version below, as it contains detailed information including the incidents from last night.
Adjust and fine tune as you see fit, thx.

Dear Sirs,

These past few months have seen numerous demonstrations in Hong Kong held by local citizens, objecting the Extradition Bill pushed by the Hong Kong Government.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Hong_Kong_anti-extradition_bill_protests

During the demonstrations, the Hong Kong Police used excessive force and violence to disperse and arrest the demonstrators, including batons strikes, and firing of rubber bullets, and tear gas (over 2,000 tear gas canisters fired since June 9, and over 800 fired on Aug 8 alone).

https://www.hongkongfp.com/2019/08/06/hong-kong-police-fire-800-tear-gas-rounds-arrest-148-people-mass-protest/

As identified and verified by demonstrators, many tear gas canisters used by the Hong Kong Police were well past the Expiry date, and it has been suggested by medical physicians that expired tear gas is actually more toxic (containing cyanide) and harmful.

And on the night of July 21, over 100 triad members indiscriminately attacked subway commuters at a subway station in Yuen Long, over 40 civilians were injured.  The police did not arrive until 39 minutes after the incident.  The press has since proved that the police, the triads, and possibly a pro-Beijing legislative council member, worked together to make this this terrorist attack possible.  News coverage of this incident has been widely reported.

The Hong Kong SAR government has been refusing to form an Independent Commission of Inquiry to investigate the entire Anti-Extradition Bill Protest Movement as well as the seemingly unlawful acts conducted by the police force.

I hereby formally request your assistance to instigate investigation into the unlawful enforcement of the law and conducts by the Hong Kong Police, including the use of excessive force, use of expired tear gas, improper use of rubber bullets and sponge grenades such as firing at close range and head shots.

Thank you for your kind attention.  I hope, with your impartiality as well as your connection with the United Nations, you can help stop the violence and offences perpetrated by the Hong Kong Police, and restore justice to our city.

Regards,
