The first race of the weekend for CTCC (China Touring Car Championship), had just begun when an incident occurred at startup neutralization of the race. At the time the leaders reached the pace car, they hit him and caused a freak accident. Competitors who were protagonists of this incident are David and Juan Carlos Zhu brothers. The safety car suddenly crossed the track, David could avoid him but his teammate crashed into his car and ended up hitting the containment barrier.
