| [#2] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ 我理解係如冇任何更換，收取驗窗費包括？交驗修紙到屋宇處。 如果你不是強制驗窗，你可決定是否更換他的建議。相反，如果係強制性，佢會話全部配件都要更換。費事孭飛！有朋友是驗窗師敢講的。 其他單價尚算與市價差不多。 |

| [#3] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ Just like a pendulum, you can replace all components but over-priced and the other way is simply inspection without replacement(not safe due to lack of measuring parameters, only visual inspection) A compromise is replacing the hinges and rivets for safety reason(make sure that it's riveting via compressed air) and an economical choice. | [#6] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ Not mandatory to replace the hinges, only pointing out the problem is with the rivets. Can have physical inspection only and issue a certificate but it's unsafe.($500 at most, easy job, say within an hour) Aluminium rivet can look good but the head can fall out upon touching. So, physical inspection alone is NG. Problem is, don't use aluminium rivet, must be aluminium sheath(outer layer) and core is stainless steel.(so-called semi-stainless steel) 100% stainless steel is too hard to rivet. |

| [#8] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ But why, hanging clothes next to window? For drying, can use a dehumidifier inside toilet/store room. During cold and humid days, most dehumidifiers cannot be turned on(only defrosting mode via fan running), can consider a desiccant type dehumidifier.(heated stone called zeolite) but limited life span. Window safety is important, don't skim the testing/repair procedure. | [#11] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ Replaced the hinges of 20+ windows, a peace of mind, about $4000 few years ago. Repair work is something one should not skim.(can be worse if having bad workmanship) In fact, the Ordinance is making a mountain out of a mole hill, problem lies with wrong type of rivet causing window dropping.(lower hinge is more susceptible to corrosion and higher loading) The hinge itself was machine riveted in factory, no way it would fall apart. Simply new spec. of rivet in construction phase. Need to take off the moving portion for riveting so replace the hinge at the same time, just to play safe. |

| [#15] 驗窗收費，呢個價合理嗎？ In fact, someone is taking advantage of the situation to get easy money, without mobilizing staff/equipment. No need for detailed inspection at all should the rivets are of aluminium material. Simply replace all hinges and rivets(semi stainless steel), by virtue of design. Maybe, no need for overall replacement in the next "10 years' inspection." People on R33 only asked for advice but wouldn't listen. |
