| [#6] 日立牌冷氣機小涼伴好用嗎 The only approved window unit on R 33 is Panasonic, period. I would use Gree due to low price, though a bit noisy. Few months ago, I took it down for cleaning and painting, no rust after 4 years. | [#10] 日立牌冷氣機小涼伴好用嗎 Adding zinc is kind of cathodic protection, so-called sacrificial anode, namely to protect water tank and water jacket. (cross harbor mains,too)The original surface treatment is zinc phosphate spray to form undercoat, followed by electrostatic charge attracting epoxy powder, then cured in oven. Not exactly painting so difficult to repair. I simply used aerosol can spray, leftover from other job. Ways of improvement Stainless steel chassis(not in market) plastic fan cowl(fixed portion of condenser fan assembly) at the rear instead of galvanized steel Connect to nearby water drain, instead of self-evaporation Some brands are having cooling coil condensate outlet aligning with drain hole,viz shortest path to rid off water without flooding the whole chassis. Not for Gree. Most innovative is to drain condensate from the cooling coil direct and collected by water bucket. A bit clumsy. |

| [#14] 日立牌冷氣機小涼伴好用嗎 禾用開分體多年，反而現在想用番窗口， 一)唔使花幾萬搭棚！ 二)拆內分體分分中穿(賓)，對唔番原位大細。 三)洗冷氣外牆散熱有一定困難存在！ 四)換分體機5-6千元！！每個棚架連裝拆人工報一萬！ 五)窗口機一般包基本安裝，有問題幾千元可即換掉。 六)現今窗口式冷氣機比二十年前耗電量，大大減小50%甚至70% ((1級能源標示))計算比較結果。 分體機壞處係，妹仔當然大過主人婆，機價5-6千，但棚架及裝工是另加9千至一萬一部。 |

| [#15] 日立牌冷氣機小涼伴好用嗎 Though your viewpoints are correct, many rich folks would prefer split type A/C. But make sure rigid platform and headroom are available for maintenance and repair. Since I diy, I would save much money in installation work, $1800 for 3/4 hp Panasonic unit and $200 for 5m refrigerant pipe. Window unit is a bit noisy but may assist sleeping for steady background noise. Not total success, I did top up refrigerant many times for a particular unit.Quite troublesome. Window unit has a flap to draw fresh air,too. |

Daoshing got an excellent flaring unit, self-aligning, having split discs for individual tube diameters. Flared tubes, custom length,0.8mm thick, available from Taobao. In fact, can assemble on ground for experiment first. |
