| [#1] 坡人趕吃“最後早餐”, 情況悲慘! 淪東南亞疫情最多國家 麥當勞全停業 新加坡周一單日的確診個案再創新高，今午新增1,426宗，令確診個案增至8,014宗，超過印尼的6,575宗和菲律賓的6,259宗，成為病例最多的東南亞國家。外籍勞工仍然是主要感染群，而當地麥當勞上周也出現感染群，累計有7宗病例，麥當勞周日突然宣佈暫時關閉全部分店，是當地麥當勞首次全面停業，民眾趕緊吃「最後的早餐」，外賣訂單急升。 周日新增的596宗新增病例中，包括566名工作准證持有者。另有30宗屬本地社區病例，其中25人是本地公民或永久居民，5人是工作證件持有者。衞生部文告指出，新增的社區病例已有所減少，從前周的平均每天37宗，減至過去一周的平均每天31宗。 不過，沒住宿舍的確診工作准證持有者也持續增加，從之前的平均每天11宗，增至過去一周的平均每天21宗。政府周日透過電子憲報宣佈，把兩個外籍勞工宿舍列為隔離區，當地目前已有18個宿舍被列為隔離區。 疫情進一步影響當地快餐業，麥當勞周六宣佈暫停餐廳內的外帶服務後，周日清晨突然宣佈關閉所有分店，就連Drive-Thru和送餐服務也暫停至下月4日。民眾得知消息後趕忙買外賣訂早餐，外賣訂單周日早上瞬間增加兩成。有外賣員周日上午來回宏茂橋的麥當勞取餐多達6次。 這是麥當勞在新加坡首次全面停工，麥當勞聽取衞生部建議後，決定暫停營業以預防疫情進一步蔓延。  最後修改時間: 2020-04-20 20:03:22 |

I pay a lot of attention to Singapore, first I like SG, I had everything booked to spend a week in SG for Easter had it not been the Wuhan virus, second it serves as the benchmark of poorer countries in the tropics. SG is rich and will be fine, worst comes to worst most of the migrant workers will get it, the country is not the nicest to the under privilege communities but it has enough resources to deal with it. HK treats domestic helpers like shit too, maybe it's our modern slavery practice that is saving HK, nothing to be proud of. The real problem here is, if shits like this is hitting the fan in Singapore, the more populated countries like Indonesia and Vietnam will be a shit show very soon, India and Bangladesh will be hell in 2 months. Brazil, already hopeless, Mexico is next. Nigeria, Congo, Egypt, and this fucker Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus' home country Ethiopia will be hell shortly after. And it's all beyond help. And the country everyone choose to ignore, CCP's big brother, Russia, will not fare much better than the rest of Europe. What is Putin going to do with Xi ? I don't know, certainly not pretty. There are indeed cruelty cases which are beyond doubt. But there are many households treat their helpers like family members. Eat together, share room with other family members, I know many households paying their helpers at levels notably higher than the minimum level, including elevated OT pays during holidays and Covid-19 extra-hours. |

I do think I am the rare type from talking with my DH. The common ones treat their helpers like 妹仔，quite common for mainland culture, to squeeze the last drop out your staff. |
