Pump can't pump down to absolute zero since it's not of double stage type besides, the compound gauge(both positive and negative pressure) is not sensitive for measuring tens of microns.(needs digital meter) So, don't bother, setup is already wrong. In fact, pressure test by nitrogen gas is more important since vacuum withstand is easy to pass.(e.g. punching a small hole and mended by PVC tape, can still pass) Stated in old document but skimmed in new appliances. |

But bending tool can't be applied in confined area but large bend can be 20D, where D is diameter of pipe so easy to bend by hand. If required, can use external spring in middle portion. (must be bare tube without thermal lagging, no flared ends) Sharper bend near outdoor unit, can insert spring to avoid pipe collapse. No torque wrench, too. Too much force would cause crack at the flare joint in future. Since most people cannot do it, they have to accept what's offered, low level engineering but high price. Good luck with R32 which operates at higher pressure than R410a , higher flammability. #6 got a used one from my sis' since it's R22, DIY. Difficult to take down outdoor unit. HK's local culture, 100% skimming the work. Screw in the pipes, doesn't fall. Asking for more, sorry, no service.(same for plumber, pretending to have high tech.)
