| [#16] 電視機壞咗 According to this Forum, 14 yo plasma still "worth" repairing.(kind of obsession) Yours is only 7 yo and 4k, can ask quotation from Shun going via on-line booking but inspection cost can be high. There is nearby repair shop in Pokfulam, should be capable of repairing down to component level, usually power supply. | [#18] 電視機壞咗 #14 True, AX900 is a great TV indeed, at 7 years old with pretty old technology(but with 128 zones local dimming, which is not bad even compare to new LED TV, say Sony X95j, has only 60 zones), most of the time I am very happy with the picture. However, I was from a pioneer plasma, I always find the picture of AX900 lacks punch/kick/spicy taste of pioneer, which I hope could be found again on OLED tv And the AX900 has some kind of banding in white picture (due to old FALD design i was told) and the motion handling is not the best I have seen, I wish the new OLED technology can satisfy me in this regard Nevertheless, AX900 is a great early 4k TV , serve me well for the last 7 years why not repair it? Thought about it, but failed to reach repair service of shun hing for quotation (not too eager) and I really really itchy to get a new TV...... |
