| [#16] 放大器＋機頂盒 Actually, the components inside 6140 are not that impressive. There's a small transformer converting the 220V (it marked 230V) AC to a low AC voltage. I saw four rectifiers to convert the AC to DC. On the small PCB, there's nothing about the 'boosting/amplifying circuitry. It's inside the small metallic enclosure with the three F sockets. What's inside the metallic enclosure is unknown but it won't be a very good amplifying circuit. I doubt it's 3dB low noise figure. If you can afford, the Hirschmann is a better choice. At around $700, it has a small transformer like 6140 but it has a much better PCB with surfact mounted small electronic components. I found transistors, too. The circuitry is much more impressive. Another important feature is that apart from the cover, the whole body is metallic which helps heat dissipation. 6140 has a cheap plastic chassis only. Running the booster at 7X24, I'll trust Hirschmann. |
