| [#1] 冷氣機保養續保 今年4月買咗部Panasonic 2匹分體變頻冷氣，有一年保養，剛剛收到信興續保文件，一年續保費 $800， 2 年$1424。請問你地有冇做續保？如果有會做1年定2年？ 好彩用十年八年年冇問題，但唔好彩1，2 年可能壞，尤其係變頻分體。thx |

| [#3] 冷氣機保養續保 I haven't since they are of small hp and of fixed speed. In reality, one year original warranty is too short. Anyway, it would be better off to extend the warranty by another 2 years if parts included, in view of the equipment and installation cost. High cost to replace. No brainer. |

| [#7] 冷氣機保養續保 Same question raised by another folk last year. Of course, no conclusion since one cannot predict the failure of the AC in the next two years. So, a matter of opinion. The only point was, check the terms and conditions. If individual repair costs can be quantified, pay upon failure, a little bit better.(say $2,000 for inverter card) A cost was quoted by Daikin, $5,000 for scaffolding and initial checking, repair at cost. I believe that Fortress brand is also asking for high repair cost.(by DCH) The principle is, want you to buy a new one. |

| [#11] 冷氣機保養續保 I studied a bit on Gree tutorial. Usually repair work done in line with error signal, many cases the IGBT module. If you can send to China, it's repairable down to component level at RMB 400. But a bit complicated and much downtime. Not sure how to get it back. Gree has spare on Taobao, yet still many versions. In fact, failure follows bath tub curve. Higher failure rate initially, then steady state, high again when near end of life. |

| [#15] 冷氣機保養續保 #10 呢類底板有專用接口，代理維修人員有設備插入個接口，行測試程式，就分析到是什麼問題，應該如何處理，其他師傅沒有設備，主要是直接換底板。 而舊式冷氣比較簡單，唔係太舊既機，壞既風險比較低，街外師傅都可以修理，所以未必一定要參加保養。 |

| [#19] 冷氣機保養續保 #14 the board is the most vulnerable part due to numerous components involved, not exactly high tech. YouTube got footage on repair. Other parts involving refrigerant cycle, many C fu can do, mostly mechanically inclined, very little knowledge about electronics except board replacement. #15 maybe. Equipment cost, lower than Panny 2 hp inverter window unit. Sell this Toshiba RC. I am a professional and registered electrical worker for both low voltage and high voltage.
