| [#127] Leica Club If without Panasonic, Leica would take even longer time to be in the digital market. Leica worked with Fuji too before but just didn't work out. So leica didn't just choose Panasonic for marketing reasons, it also involves skills, QC...etc. I am still struggling with with MP or not, I mught just get a M3 instead. M8 is no longer in the technology of a cloth shutter, it is a piece of chip inside the body. the camera body is simply a different thing. by the way, the build of the MP is better than M3. it is understood that it takes a long time to finish a roll of film and it is hard to find good place to develop the film. however, it pays. just imagine the difference in playing the CD and the LP, it applies to DC and film camera. |

| [#130] Leica Club letsrock, i just finished a roll of film and will find a place to develop the negatives. as the market is kept changing, it is hard to suggest any particular good shop to have the film processing right now bear in mind that i had my last film developed about one year ago and was very disappointed by the poor quality offered. they SCANNED the film and print the photos, so all the details were gone. i will entrust a reliable shop to develop the film this time, then make a contact print so that i can choose the better ones, and get a lab to make the direct print from the negative. will let you know the info. once they are available. |

| [#131] Leica Club A811 reports presence! M6 Summicron 2/35, Elmarit 2.8/90 The above had provide me with countless hours of enjoyment. However, in the last couple of years, I has been mostly using DSLR, mainly for convenience. Unfortunately, I find the M8 just doesn't have the classic look and near perfect form of the other M cameras. I hope Leica can improve on it. |
