由 MARCIN OSTAPOWICZ 先生所創立的 JCAT，公司為電腦音響業的先驅之一，同時亦是公認的 high-end 音響顧問。繼本年四月推出 USB-Audio 輸出咭 USB CARD XE，這次廠方宣布針對 PC 網絡連接，推出高階音響用的網絡咭 NET CARD XE，價格約為 €800 歐元。

NET CARD XE 以世界首張發燒級網絡咭為開發目標，為用家提供相較傳統網絡卡更高的分析力及解像度，並能描寫出更佳的音樂紋理及細節。

為了提升重播效果，NET Card XE 採用了比起傳統石英 OCXO 時鐘更佳的 Emerald OCXO，提供高達 10 倍的動態穩定性，並於存在壓力源（如氣流，溫度擾動，振動）的情況之下，亦能有最穩定的時脈、抖動及電磁干擾（EMI）。

NET CARD XE 透過使用了業界最佳的 LT3045 超低噪聲線性電源，以及穩定的 OCXO 時鐘，再加上高端以太網控制器，為用戶提供前所未有的優質網絡串流音頻數據。

NET CARD XE 在使用上亦十分簡便，與一般網絡咭一樣，只需將網絡播放器/ DAC，媒體服務器（NAS），經寬頻路由器連接到 JCAT NET Card XE 上的兩個 1Gbit LAN 端口中（任何一組均可），便可以從音樂檔中提取出比以往更多的細節及更豐富的音樂重播效果。
