用家意見	Ever watch TV, play games or surf the Internet with a CRT projector using an 84" screen? That's what I'm doing everyday. You won't switch back to 29", 34", 43", 48" or 60" traditional TVs after you've seen such a setup. It's an amazing experience! Superb picture quality (don't compare it to Cine 8 or the HK$500K Vidikron Vision One, OK). Use the best available screen. I use Stewart (manual screen for the price; I really should have buy the electric screen with an additional $10K for the ease-of-use). Kikuchi and OS are also very good. Forget about DA-????, my friend's 100" manual screen looks like the Rockies. The built-in Line-doubler (LIDO) is only so and so (with fairly obvious motion artifacts - e.g. jagged lines). Buy a truly high-end outboard line-multiplier if you can afford it. Otherwise, a progressive-scan DVD player will do. Buying mediocre line-doublers is a waste of money because the effects would usually be worse than the DVD player's progressive output (pls see it yourself or have a look at Sony's technical article on DVP-S9000ES). I use the built-in line doubler for TV and LD only. May be I should buy the built-in Line-quadrupler (LIMO) at an additional $10K or so. Always use component input with it. The picture quality is so much better that you'll never switch back to S-video. Always have the installer to set it up for you and forget about the built-in IRIS - it actually mess up the tuned picture. Don't try to change the settings! It's way too complicated for you and me! Comaprison: - SONY VPH-D50HTM's color is more natural, but I like the Cine 7's overall presentation (just don't know how to describe it, Cine 7's picture is very seductive). - SONY VPL-VW10HT's black level is of no match to any CRT projector, but if you're on a tight budget, want to watch movies with some room light on, and don't want a fixed installation, this is actually the kind of projector for you. - Seleco's projectors are of no match. Their color is not vivid enough. By the way, I presume you know that you'll have to switch off all the lights with CRT projectors, otherwise, the picture sucks. Use good quality blinds for your windows.
