[#21] 好歌不厭百回聽 With regards to if Mono is less ideal in sound than Stereo pressing I would challenge that. I have their "Bee Gees First " in both Mono and Stereo first pressing. They have different sound for sure and you may think the Stereo version would be better. Personally I prefer the Mono issue as it present better vocal in isolation. It's very much like the Beatles. George Martin had deliberately engineer the sound in Mono configuration in the first place for their early recording then remix to Stereo. His argument was that stereo recording was still in the infantry and mono recording will give the vocal more beautiful and also playing drums with full ferocity. That was the sound the people loved at the time. It was only after The White Album then better stereo mixing advanced in pace. |

[#22] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #20 The songs in the album are all the early songs of Bee Gees(1967 to 1968) . It is a (LP Compilation) of early Bee Gees According to Wikipedia information, for example, another song "Sinking Ships" is also from 1968. single release Second, according to DISCOGS, this (LP, Compilation) was released in December 1968, and this song was Released March 1968. It is not known whether this is a (LP, Compilation) product of the later Bee Gees music. , I'm not sure |

[#23] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #21 Stereo sound and monophonic sound are two different things and should not be confused. Before 1957, people had no choice. It was not until the appearance of stereo sound that people began to listen to stereo sound. Whether you like monophonic or not is a personal matter |

[#24] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #22 The Bee Gees Golden Album was indeed a compilation album with songs from 1966-1968. What I wasn't sure about Wiki was that they stated, as I quited, "so by standard practice at the time, it was not mixed to stereo." And again "The song was unavailable until 1990 when it was mixed in stereo for the first time and extended to 3:19 for inclusion on the Tales from the Brothers Gibb boxset. " My argument not on whether it is a single or if included in a studio album but the point that it was indeed mixed as Stereo included in Bee Gees Golden Album. It was in 1968 so there was a stereo version well before 1990!! Would you agree? |

[#25] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #23. I ain't confused but it is wise to explain to other people who may have the experience. Indeed it's a personal choice. Change of subject and some most expensive records(Jazz, R&R and Folks) are actually mono releases, not only just because of the rarity but also the recording format some people preferred. |

[#26] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #24 I'm also not sure if the 45 rpm I had at the time was stereo or not , because it's been long long time ago, is The Singer Sang His Song in your Bee Gees Golden Album stereo? If it is a stereo language, you can go to WIKI to modify the data, very easy I'm sure |

[#27] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #25 I don't comment on other people's hobbies, I'm factual, discussing evidence, not personal preferences Under common sense, which old technology is better than new technology? It is enough to use monophonic and watch Charlie Chaplin movies, why should there be any high-definition, why pursue the truth? ? can you comment for that?? |

[#28] 好歌不厭百回聽 back to write #26 The Wiki says that the song (The Singer Sang His Song ) was only included in the "World Star Festival" LP before 1990. If your LP is really released in December 1968, the WIKI information is wrong, you can modify it 最後修改時間: 2023-01-31 08:54:45 |

[#29] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #20 Wiki said last year that this song (The Singer Sang His Song) was only included in the "World Star Festival" LP before 1990, I believe there may be a mistake, because I checked the WIKI again just now, and the relevant content no longer exists. At this moment, I want to prove whether there is no stereo version of The Singer Sang His Song before 1990. Please take a picture of the playing time of this song for clarification this point.. thank you ! |

[#30] 好歌不厭百回聽 Now I think both Wiki and me are wrong. Wiki was wrong that it was only ever appeared in "World Star Festival" LP before 1990. I was wrong that it appeared as stereo version in the Gold Album. The whole album with all the prints that indicate that it is a stereo issue. Even the centre label of the record also has the two circles stereo mark and STEREO was printed. However, I looked more carefully with the booklet though in Japanese and I think I have been mistaken. There is a little footnote which I read for the first time, with the writing on songs 1,3, 5, 6 on B Side and (The Singer Sang His Song) is song no. 5. It has the Japanese writing of "モノラル " and it means "Mono recording". Until further finding we can, at the time of writing, conclude that (The Singer Sang His Song) did appear more than one album and it was in Mono version until 1990. ![]() ![]() 最後修改時間: 2023-02-01 00:06:27 |

[#32] 好歌不厭百回聽 reply #31 As per request. BTW, I don't read Japanese either but I type in Mono and google with Japanese translation and it comes up the same writing as the one in the footnote. ![]() ![]() ![]() 最後修改時間: 2023-02-01 22:08:39 |
