| [#2] Soultrane - John Coltrane ( XRCD) ZZReview, Thanks for the insightful review but with all due respect, who could possibly ignored the “Soultrane"? The “Soultrane” stood tall amongst other Coltrane’s definitive works like “A Love Supreme”, “Blue Train”, “Giant Steps”, “Ballads”, “Standard Coltrane”, “Ascention”, and others. I cannot imagine anyone who loves jazz or claiming to have a liking in this music genre “ignoring” this album or not owning a copy of it (or multiple copies). As with ‘skill’, I am not arguing but his status in jazz and the contemporary music history ranks him high amongst other legends like Davis, Rollins, Parker, Duke, Mingus, Monk, etc., so I thought that says it all. Those with SACD player might also want to try the Mobile Fidelity re-release of “SoulTrane”, you just might be blown away. Just my two cents. |

Theme for Ernie 5. Russian lullaby I love relatively soft Saxophone. Track1, 2 and 4 are my favourites! While track 3 and 5 shows the talent of John. His skill is excellent! |
