Just bought this single from 竹內瑪麗亞, the song has a bossa nova tempo. Despite the sad title, it is quite comfortable. 3 songs + karaoke versions.

As usual her song is produced by her husband Yamashita Tatsuro and he played most of the musical instrument and arranged the song. Very rich musical instrument including vibraphone (what is it?), marimba, flute, piccolo, alto sax, xylophone, glocken and strings. Also coupled with her famous 2 songs in the late 80s i.e. 'single again' (covered by grasshopper in HK) and 'Kokuhaku'. These are 2007 remastered version which sounds better than my original version available in her 90s best selection CD 'Impression'. Those who have a decent hifi system could try whether the telephone ring sounds real or not.

She is one of my favourite J pop female singer, possesses the kind of charisma albeit she could be near 50! She is not that kind of traditional Jap woman, prefer her than Nakajima Miyuki who could also write good songs for more than 30 years. I found Miyuki too bitter for me. Also Mariya's English is good compared with most J pop singer. This is the so called first press for radio stations only at $28, a true bargain available Sino Centre
