| [#54] Close to You Susan Wong I bought this disc based on SO MUCH PROPAGANDA saying how nice Susan's voice is, but finally got quite disappointed: 1) her voice - sort of ok 2) her English - somehow very odd, not like a local coz the words are not cohesive, like each word by each word 3) presentation and emotion - sorry, guest she exposed her weakness and lack of life experience to present the ever lasting songs in her album Overall, it's very uneasy listening experience to me. I really duno how come so MANY ppl here said so much great things about her album. Yes, the recordings are top class, but the way she presents the songs...to be honest, I am disappointed the over-praise. If you want nice English songs, go for the native speakers, OK? like: Diana Krall, Celine Dion, Katherine Jenkins... |

| [#52] Close to You Susan Wong I just listen to this CD. I think she still need to improve. I don't feel she had much much emotion in this album. The recording is ok but I don't think they use tube mic. Anyway, I am I tube mic recording lover. |

| [#51] Close to You Susan Wong I had the XRCD & SACD version. I prefer the XRCD version, the sound is more realistic & analog whereas the SACD give u the extension which I think is not that natural. |

| [#40] Close to You Susan Wong 製作/曲/詞 The songs are good but are not original. So I give the points based on the arrangement only. The arrangement is OK but not very outstanding. Moreover, it is too plain overall as most of the songs have little variation. 錄音 The overall recordings is very good. The feel of space, positioning is also well done. However, I given that the instruments used are few and simple. I would say obtaining good result is comparatively less difficult. 演繹 Not bad, but also not very good. The singing style and tone remained unchanged all through the CD. Can easily get bored after listening to it a few times. Overall speaking the cd is a good HK production. But it is not exceptionally outstanding. Not as good comparing to another recent HK production Salute Deux. |
