| [#1] Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company (ConcordSACD-1033-6) Ray Charles' last album. Consists of duets with his friends - all are stars of stars! Great interpretations! A must for all music lovers & audiophiles! There are many versions: CD made in USA, CD made ?locally, hybrid SACD made in USA (by Concord), hybrid SACD made outside USA, DVD-A and LP. I myself bought the original USA-made hybrid SACD. The sound is very good but not to the level of outstanding. The sonic quality of each songs are different! My guess is that the LP version may be the champion! |

| [#2] Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company (ConcordSACD-1033-6) Hi brother, I like it very much & have several versions as below for my collection: (1) US version CD made by Concord from HMV HKD99, (2) US SACD hybrid made by Concord from HMV HKD190, (3) Jap version made by JVC (Victor) from my Japan trip, 2600 yen (HKD198) + 1 bonus song. Sound compared: CD layer: Jap version 5-10% better than SACD or US version; 20% than EU version. SACD layer: US version 10% better than EU version borrowed from my friend. Lp version: UK version only sell street price HKD125. Will wait for the US version from Concord. *SACD US version is extra large size like the DVD audio jewel box.* Best Regards, |

| [#6] Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company (ConcordSACD-1033-6) I got both SACD and LP. My system : SA-1 and RMP-9. I think SACD provides better sound stage, more balance than LP. My output system is Krell Mono + N801. It should be a kind of full range reference. Anyway, I love Ray, and it is his last memory. Everyone who loves Jazz should have one. |

| [#11] Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company (ConcordSACD-1033-6) I have the EU "printed" cover but the disc is made in HK! SACD sounds fair; CD layer sounds good. It's strange that When in SCAD mode, 2 seconds of cracking noise appears after finshed the last track. No such happening in CD mode. Any thing got wrong. I'm using SCD-1. |
