| [#5] LESLIE . SALUTE-XRCD2 This is one of the most important Albums in Canton-Pop, in terms of music but not recording quality. Leslie performs perfectly and delivers enormous sentiment for which many people hv commented that(especially in music forums of China) he actually out-performed the original singers. However, the previous CD versions are not good in sound quality that it did not arouse awareness in Review33. Everyone should try listening to this album and you can find what music means even though sound quality is not that good. Can anyone comment on the quality of this XRCD in more details? It would be much grateful if someone could even comment on the LP version of this album which I am looking for, even though it is expensive at about 400 in 2nd hand market. |

| [#7] LESLIE . SALUTE-XRCD2 Eric, I hv different feeling from yrs. I bought it just a few days ago and sold it immediately the following day. The music is great but the sound is bad and fake. Although the sound seems to be more clear/detailed/dynamic/transparent, Leslie's voice becomes thin and not as real as my old version CD(T113-01). As you know, Leslie's voice is so good in mid-low range that it delivers deep feeling and moves listeners much. With a much thinner voice, the real taste of Leslie has gone. Not just change in Leslie's voice, I found that the overall sonic situation is unreal. I wasted the money. However, luckily I got the LP version(HKD250, cheaper than orginally expected) at the 2nd hand shop where I sold this XRCD. When I listened to the LP, Leslie's voice was so real/thick and passionate and soundstage was wide/deep that the difference is like heaven and earth. The LP version is the real audiophile one, the second choice is the old version CD. |

SALUTE-XRCD2 第一次聽這隻碟時約在10年前, 當時聽的是隻老翻, 雖然不是哥哥的fans, 但仍被他精湛的演繹感動. 後來該隻老翻亦已報銷. 事隔10年, 發現這隻XRCD2版本, 毫不猶疑, 即時付錢收為己有, 回家開機, 一聽, 前奏音樂非常出色, 心想 , 有價值, 但哥哥一開聲, 正如其他網友所說, 不似哥哥應有的聲音, 像有回音, 兼且飄浮……可能是remastering的時候過了火, 把哥哥的聲音弄糟了. 之後, 馬上補購一張復黑優惠版@$49. 再聽, 哥哥的聲音回來了, 但背景音樂卻甚為遜色(畢竟遜色於XRCD版本是正常的). 然而, 這隻XRCD2版仍是值得收藏的. |
