| [#2] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD Are you talking about original albums, or compilations/collections? Sadly, the majority of her albums were not reissued in high quality sound/artwork. Recently purchased this 1:1 母版直刻 of 勢不兩立. IMO this should be the best CD version of this album. Sound wise this is a brilliant job done, even though I don't like the packaging, artwork reproduction and the EXPENSIVE PRICE, nor can I attest to the longevity of the CD-R.  |

| [#3] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD 淡淡幽情 was re-issued on CD very often, but IMO the best version is still the first CD issue released in 1983. I checked a few standard re-issues (in jewel case with the same artwork) with audio software, and found that all except one are exact copies of the same 1983 West Germany CD. The other one can actually cancel out with 1983 version as well, but left a very low digital noise (may be a problem of the pressing plant). The 1991/1995 CD released in Japan is actually a copy of the 1983 West Germany CD too, but with EQ and volume changes. You can see that the timing is exactly the same. No comment to any special re-issue after 1995 (dCS, XRCD, SACD, K2HD, etc). IMO all are inferior to varying degrees. The picture below is how the standard 1983 issue looks like:  |

| [#6] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD 另外一個例子,日本版互相比較,1985年中國語全曲集同1992年那隻相比,雖然大家都是 Ploydor 出版,但當你比較過之後,1992年那隻已經相差好遠,錄音好粗,人聲傾前,聲底較薄,感覺完全唔同啦,由此可見,雖然公司 Local 一樣,但年份唔同已經相差好遠好遠啦!因為我兩隻碟都有,經過詳細比較才作評論(這是我個人意見)謝謝! 以下是: 1985年中國語全曲集日本 Sanyo 版  |

| [#7] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD Hi CD人1003, I also have this 15週年西德版. But I think the 1:1 母版直刻 wins in terms of transparency, focus and detail. I prefer 西德版's warm tonality though. Both are good to keep. XRCD is just a joke, terrible sound. I also have this 中國語全曲集 (Does your copy have words "Manufactured by Sanyo Japan" on the CD inner ring? My copy doesn't have them). Sound is excellent but the level is quite low. The 1993 version (shown on the right of the photo below) is almost as good but much cheaper. | [#14] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD yuettoi, I also bought 勢不兩立 from 寰購網, only $508. After I bought, they quickly changed price to $580. I think 508 may be a typo. So, $580 must be a very good deal already. If bought in shops, the cheapest price I saw is $650 (Wai Wai). IMHO, for 十五周年, 1:1 母版直刻 and 西德版 both have goods and bads, like I said on post #7. | [#17] Please Recommend : 鄧麗君- CD I also have the original 勢不兩立 LP in near-mint condition. I don't think it sounds particularly good. Most 鄧麗君 Polydor HK LPs only sound so-so. It's just that many recent CDs are even poorer...... If done well with good condition first generation master tape, CD version can definitely sound better. The 1:1 母版直刻 seems to be this case. But it's TOO EXPENSIVE la...... |
