| [#52] 無間道, Infernal Affairs 冇在戲院睇過，我用新DVD機睇，畫面清淅，聲音效果可用強勁來形容，顯見錄音及混音者乃音響專家，若預算更充的話，混音有機會挑戰荷李活級數，劇本雖漏洞處處，強烈的照象剪接和音效能帶動觀眾情緒，配角比主角有型及更有性格，期望黃秋生在前傳更能充份發揮，深哥真係在做戲，志偉老了，沒有應有的江湖人那份寸，不用太多子彈和暴力便有劇力是導演的成央A這樣的劇本也可拍得這麼好睇，買DVD已賺我們錢，重要強逼睇MD廣告！算點，至於畫質唔係唔好，應可更好，不知是否菲林錢貼落演員成本處，想拍好電影但唔用好菲林，唔用靚藥水即是浪費，劉德華演出怪怪地，最有演技果幕的對白是你唔使恐嚇我你想點，由頭到尾到此才真正入狀態，死未，最佳男主角唔係好似果句對白之前D表現咁，睇睇梁朝偉就自然得多，係件衫唔得之外你睇人地對住他講，你係差人果陣，心中打突的自然反應和錯愕眼神就知影帝實至名歸，我好少睇戲睇唔厭，由其果句佛祖保右。 |

However, I don't like both endings. Anyway, no regret in buying it - just $88 only. A bit of support to HK film industry.... |

However, there is a manufacturing bug in the DVD, the film-to-video information flag which enable some progressive DVD player and HTPC (computer) to correctly re-construct the correct 2-3 sequence of the 24fps film in a 60Hz NTSC TV signal is completely WRONG. In that case, there are serious motion artifact and temporal noise with some model of DVD player and computer's DVD rom. |

| [#40] 無間道, Infernal Affairs As you would expect: - great acting (especially Andy & Tony ... but I think Eric Tsang was over-acting and too similar to his previous roles) - slick directing and action (more tense than Hollywood movies) - beautiful cinematography (the color filters look unreal, but are still very atractive and bring great 'feel' to the picture) - smart dialogue Disappointing: - Sammi & Kelly have NOTHING to do (flower pots only) and the theme of Sammi writing her stupid book only irritates throughout the movie - script is still a little disjointed, with jumps from one good scene to the next not well connected by logic or progression - in particular, the script does not account for the sudden change in Andy's character from bad guy to wanting to be a good guy ... why ?? - the movie is TOO SHORT to account for all the wonderful possibilities; I want to know more about Tony's past love, how he survived the days of being a Triad, how evil Eric Tsang was, why Andy should love Sammi so much he wants to be good guy, how Andy planned the ending for everyone ... so many questions [maybe they want to svae all the answers for the sequel !] For this DVD: - picture quality is excellent and all the action is crisp and sharp - sound is good: it is good to see HK making use of 5.1 to good effect (Wong Chau Sang calling to Andy from BEHIND the audience is one nice effect) - but the 'extra features' on the 2nd disc are very disappointing: only like short advertisement - not an in-depth look at the thinking of the writers, or the mthods of the directors |
