| [#12] Dire Straits---Brothers in Arms (XRCD2) i bought the xrcd2 long time ago ...probably the initial batch when xrcd2 available ... - as many of you have said ...just excellent. - much more musical, uncomparable definition and real recordings than my original (normal) version - all my xrcd2 never made me disappointed ... and personally i like xrcd2 much more than sacd. happy listening and cheers. |

| [#10] Dire Straits---Brothers in Arms (XRCD2) I have totally 4 versions of this CD (The original hong version, the original US version, the Remaster US version and the XRCD2 version). Unfortunately, the XRCD2 version is not the best version (Because it use the master tape from vertigo, which is not the best), the best version right now should be the new remaster version from Warner Bros. (In US, all Dire Straits discs are released by WB, not Ploygram). Actually Vertigo also released the remaster version (it should be so call the hond version right now), but I had not buy it because the master tape of Vertigo is not good. For the XRCD2 version, it should be using the Vertigo master tape for XRCD remastering. The sound is better than the original remaster version from Vertigo itself, but due to the quality of the master tape (Not the skill of JVC, actually they do a very job to make the disc have the best effect.), it cannot win the Warner remaster version. |
