| [#3] 德永英明 & 安全地帶 (New album & single) I have listened to both artist. Tokunaga's song in the 80's and 90's are quite good. I had bought his Intro I and II, most of the HK cover version could be found in Intro I. As with most of the Japanese pop CD, their recordings are very good even they are published in 1992. He had recently undergone a surgery, I am not sure whether he had any major hit songs in 2000. As far as I know he is quite arrogant when he had his concert in HK in mid 80s. Its fun to listen to Anzenchitai, from their early album I, they are very raw and less refined. In II and III more popular. But in IV (3 LPs) loss of brass and horns are added. The one with 'Juliet' don't remember which one there are lots of strings arrangement... Generally speaking, Anzenchitai's skills are the best if you compare with similar pop bands like Off Course and Southern All Stars (SAS). Never understand why SAS is a big success in Japan. No doubt Kuwata Keisuke and his wife could write good songs but I don't think his voice is good and his band is only so so. Off Course is quite folk at the beginning and less refine. In terms of technical skills not too good. Oda Kazumasa used to write good songs, well recently not much good songs, its forgivable, he has been writing songs for some 30 years! Tamaki himself also has solo albums, from All I do (songs are the style of Anzenchitai) to Akogare (changing the producer to Sudoh Akira), he has become more gentle. The solo CD issued by Sony is quite interesting actually is a reflection of his childhood in Asahigawa city, very primitive and raw. Thereafter, I didn't bought has Cafe Japan and Junk land, not much I could talk about it. Anyway my favourite Japanese singer is Kozo Murashita, sadly he has passed away in 1999. His songs are of very high quality and emotive (not only love song, also about his family, country, hometown.....)particularly in arrangement not to mention the sound quality engineered by Michihide Nagashima (the one behind Tamaki's Wine red kokoro). |

May be that's Japan culture. 自從聽到村下孝藏死訊以後，我喜愛的日本歌手又少一個，雖然聽他的歌打從相聚一刻開始，我亦只有他數隻CD(因為他的CD那時沒有行貨，而且大部份都過 HKD 200.00)，我對他的歌藝及創作非常欣賞，特別是"少女"和"歌人"，聽他的歌好舒服，這風格 Koji Tamaki， Hideaki Tokunaga 和 Chaga & Aska 他們沒有的。特別一題 "小田和正" 10月在香港開演唱會，他也是我喜愛的其中一位歌手。 |

| [#5] 德永英明 & 安全地帶 (New album & single) Glad to know that someone listened to Kozo Murashita's music. I had almost bought all his CD starting from hatsukoi (singles, LPs and CDs)to the latest DVD (both HK and Japanese version) except 'lemon and apple' (a best collection). His song had Chinese cover versions sung by Michael Kwan, Lai Chi... Occasionally RTHK's DJ in midnight will play his song 'when white flower blossom', this has been sung by some Canto singer. After his death, every year there will be a memorial CD e.g. live, unplugged or unreleased. Sadly these 2 years only re release some of his old CDs. Regarding other J pop singers, there is a time I always listen to Junichi Inagaki. Again his voice is not as good as Koji nor Kozo. However the songs he write had a special attraction. Well he had been strugling in late 90s. His heyday could date back to late 80s and early 90s. Nearly all the albums (some 12 to 13) issued by Fun House could reach album chart top 3. Another favourite is Makihara Noriyuki particularly his early works in WEA. His pop song had been sung by Leon Lai i.e. My dear. Nevertheless, he addicted to drugs and of course ruined his career. When he changed to Sony albeit there are some hit songs such as hungry spider, merry go round and Montague but thay are not as good as his early songs. Well, I don't know much about current singers seems like Hirai Ken sings quite well but its too funcky for me. Others are not too exciting such as V6, Kinky Kids..... Next time perhaps I'll talk about Japs female singer if you wish. |

| [#6] 德永英明 & 安全地帶 (New album & single) 好開心在這裡認識一位資深的日本Fans，你所提及過的歌手我都擁有，特別是Makihara Noriyuki 早期的作品，但自從98-99年後已經很少聽，因為我覺得日本已經給第二個世代歌手取締，老一輩好像被忘記，我仍然有聽只有 Koji Tamaki, Hideaki Tokunaga, C&A, Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc...... 而較為新派有 Mr. Children, Hirai Ken. Mr. Children 主音 "櫻井和壽" 02年因疑患小腦梗塞取消所有活動，現在應該沒大問題，Kubota Toshinobu和 Hirai Ken 無論聲線及音樂風格很接近，兩人唱戊ㄕn好。 我大部份的CD都是男，女歌手比較少，但都好想你分享一下，因為我知道的不多，另外，你有否聽 Animation CD，日本的 Animation CD 和 Original Sound Track 制作非常認真同專業，我也可以和大家分享。 |

| [#7] 德永英明 & 安全地帶 (New album & single) I had listened to Nakajima Miyuki's song. Despite the music and the production is good, it's difficult to listen to CD completely. In fact, her voice is quite bitter, if I understand more Japnese, it could help. The same goes to Matsutoya Yumi. Easier listening female singer, I'll say Takeuchi Maria who could sing in English surprisingly good. Another one is ex Amin's Takako Okamura but her songs are sometimes too plain. The best vocal is probably Le Coupe's Fujida Emi, apart from her Camomile, I should spend some time to explore her other songs. Nearly forgotten Hiromi Iwasaki, don't know whether she still sings or not. Currently people also mention about Kobayashi Takako who sings Carpenter's songs with orchestral music. Also like to mention Matsu Takako easy to listen. Animation song, I used to listen when I study secondary school, to name a few such as Gundum, Yamato, Galaxy Railway 999.... These music are light years ahead of HK's children music and pop music. Currently I only had bought EVA's Fly me to the moon single CD. |
