| [#186] 美國西部旅遊實錄之再續前緣 Yeah....I missed the winter in Idaho and Utah. I still remember it snowed in July in Idaho; it's so interesting. The first winter I was in Idaho, it snowed bad; about 3 feet of snow at one night and temp was like -30F for several days. Still remember I walked back home from school one night seeing snow plowers drove by cleaning up the street while snow falling mixed with yellow street lights, just beautiful. Of course, it wasn't very fun walking outside under such condition. Slip and slide is something you must learn so that you won't hurt yourself too much. The first winter in Provo was not bad at all; people told me that the previous winter so bad that people could jump from 2nd floor into snow without getting hurt. You can imagine how much snow was there. There were only 3 really bad winters when I was there so it's not bad at all. Compare to the snow storms in the East and Midwest the same period, those Provo winters were mild. I think I wore my feather down jacket for fewer than 20 times all those years. Oh well, those were good old days. Now, I am afraid of cold to death in LA winter....haha |

| [#194] 美國西部旅遊實錄之再續前緣 Your snow pictures are beautiful, they look like winter time indeed. I read that winter in Yellowstone is very cold but a lot of people go there for snowmobiling. However, the gov't has enforced a new law several years ago to restrict the use of snowmobiles in the park in order to reduce pollution. For a while a lot of people were upset about the regulation. Chinese are everywhere, I can't believe there is Chinese restaurant in Yellow stone. Well, I guess you go where the money is. The picture "孫悟空都失手跌左落黎" is very cool. Look really like a monkey! I believe the official freeway speed in Idaho is 75 miles, right? Hmm...or is it a state highway instead? |
